Subject: ranma1/2 sailor moon x-over



part 2b

       Looking down at the floor Ranko begins her tale tears filling her

eyes.  "It all started 18 years ago my father was obsessive when it came to
the martial arts,  and wanted to pass the secrets of the MESABETSU KOUKO
RRYU on to an heir.  So when I was about two years old pops took me from my
mothers arms to train me in the arts.  We traveled around the world.  He
would engage me to anyones kid if he could get food out of the deal or
money.  It never mattered to him what the effects would be on me later in
life.  After several years of traing the bastard decided to train me in a
technique he hadn't even tried to master.  Pops wrapped me in fish sausage
and droped me in a pit of starving cats.  He did it many times until I
snapped.  It was only recently that I started to get over it.  Even then
only with therapy.  I still can't get near cats without freaking, but at
least I'm not as bad as I used to be.  Then we traveled to China a few years
ago and I picked up a whole new set of problems.  Though it was because of
them that I learned my more advanced techniques.  I learned to channel my
'KI' in many ways, and built my speed far beyond the norm even for a martial
artist.  I can catch fish with my hands, or even grab nuts from an open
flame, though it was a trying experience to learn.  I can't even remember
everything so much happened to me, but about year ago I was reunited with my
mother.  It was just a few weeks before my father betrayed me to a strange
warrior named SAFFRON.  The bastard killed one of the few people I've ever
considered family.  Ryouga helped me avenge her,  but it cost us.  He lost
an eye, and I can't rember what happened after the battle.  I blacked out ,
but when I woke up I was younger and so was Ryo.  We were told that it was
due to an overdose of the magic that was released with Saffrons destruction
but, we still don't know why it happened.  Ryouga's been in the hospital
since, under psychatric treatment.  The doctors think he'll be out in a
week, nut he'll still be medicated.  Aside from that bastard who attacked
the school was my father.  About one year ago my father joined Saffron and
betrayed me to him.  I thought he died with Saffron when Ryouga and I fought
them.  Some how that pops survived.  After that I changed my name to Ranko,
because I was ashamed of him."  <WELL at least my secres still safe>  

       Looking over to the young priestess Ranko shakenly asks.  "Rei I

need a phone.  There's a call I have to make.  May I use yours?"  Reaching
into her battered bag Ranko grabbed a small black book and stats flippin
it's worn pages. Before the preistess can respond Ami steps foward pulling a
cellular from her purse.  

       Smiling Ami looks over to Rei.  "She can use my portable Rei. Don't

bother getting up."   Handing the phone to Ranma.  

       Ranma dials a number with astonishing speed.  "Hello,  Nabiki.

It's Ranma I have some information for you.   My fathers still alive."  The
girls gathered in the room wince when they here a scream of anger from the
reciever in Ranma's hand.  "The bastard attacked me at school today.  He's a
lot better now the old man knocked me flat out.  I don't know what happened
but someone saved me.  He mentioned going after my family.  I thought you
should be warned, call the others they'll want to know.  I'll tell mom she
needs to be told so she's ready for him when he goese after her.  You should
tell Soun he'll need to be ready.  I'll talk to you later.  Oh' Nabiki on
that shoot you told me about get the job for me I need the money to pay for
bills, and to hunt pops down.  You can contact me the usaul way."  After a
few minutes Ranma hangs up after warning Nodoka that her father had survived
China.  As she is finishing Mina and Usagi walk into the room.  Dumbfounded
looks on their faces when they see Ranko almost unscathed, From the attack.  

       "SHE'S AWAKE!. How in the >@!#!@#! did she survive that, let alone

come out without breaking anything?!"  A Shocked Usagi sputtered out as she
sees Ranko sitting near the fire pit in the back of the room. 

       Clearing her throat Ami replies before any one else can speak up.

"Well Usagi I think Ranko is the most resilient person I've met she seems to
be able to take injuries that would cripple anyone else without any bad side
effects.  Aside from a little soreness.  Aside from that I have no
explanation for her coming out without injury.  There's nothing I've heard
of that could account for it.  Although if what she told us is true she's
far more durable than almost anyone else alive.  I would like to see you do
the fire trick though.  I have a hard time believing anyone is that fast.
Rei?  Do you mind if we use the fire pit for this if what she says is true I
want to know.  It could be an intresting subject to study up on."  

       "Sorry Ami Granpa wouldn't approve, but we could have demonstrate

in an other way  possibly.  Are there any other ways you could show us Ranko?"  

       Eyes shineing, and smiling broadly Ranko resonds after a moments

thought. "Maybe later but, I gotta get home.  Mom's kinda strict.  Besides I
have english to do.  Hinako Sensei is NOT an instructor who you want to mess
with."

       After she leaves the girls break into a magor gossips session on

who and what Ranko is.  "You know she is human geneticaly at least my scans
showed that, but there were a few anomolies I can't explain,  She has an
impossibly high level of energy, her metabolism is at least 3 times human
norm.  Then theres the fact that she healed at a rate that none of us could
duplicate even in senshi form, plus what she told us.  She is capable of Ki'
projection, she's most defintely used to fighting, and the fact that she
attacked without any fear says something for her.  However there are also
things we need to know.  How old is she really.  What are her motives and
why is she in highschool if she's older than she looks."

       "Uh, Ami if you could fill us in Mina and I weren't here for your

Q&A session with her so could you explain exactly what happened.  Then maybe
we could do somthing about her.  I just hope she's not here to cause trouble."

       Elsewhere 

       Swirling masses of shadows and darkness fill the air as Genma

Soatome approaches the black onyx throne.  An emotionless voice comes from
nowhere filling the darkness.  "You delivered the message well my servant.
Now we will wait.  When you next face your child you will slay him.  We know
his responce without waiting.  He is not as easily broken as you were.  NOW
GO!  Bring me his oldest friend.  That should lure hime to us.  Then he will
serve us."        

       The Tokyo Hospital for the dangerously insane

       An old man in a white lab coat is talking to a weary looking young

man.  When he looks up the doctor winces at the face.  The scaring around
the left eye are clearly visible Blackened skin around the socket is slowly
healing.  "Well Ryouga you'll be released tomorrow.  I'm glad that we could
help you regain your sanity.  However We will have to require you to come in
for occational check-up to make sure that your not backsliding into a
homicidal depresion again.  Also you'll want to make sure to be careful with
while walking around.  Afteral with only one eye your depth preception is
different, but you'll probably need to find a friend to stay with for a few
days until you can get a job and place of your own."

       "Okay doc, thanks for helping me.  I know I need to keep my self in

line so I'll check in once a week.  Oh, Would you dial up the Soatomes again
for me I need to talk to them.  Ranma's the only friend I have left now,
he'll help me out.  Besides we have a lot of catching up to do. Tell your
nephew that I thank him for sending me to you for treatment.  Tofu always
helped out when Ranma needed it and then he helped us both recover from our
injuries, and sent me to you for help with my emotions.  By the way doc you
might get some rest.  You look like you havn't slept in a week.  The next
few weeks should be intresting so I'd get some rest if I were you."  Smiling
the Doctor closes the door on Ryouga.  

       The darkened hall way hides the old mans face, but the fear in his

voice is evident.  Even in the silence of the empty corridor.  "Kid you
don't know the half of it.  I just got tranfered to Nerima to treat the
entire Kuno family.  What did I do to deserve this??!"    

(Not knowing who your treating can get you dragged into a mess that is not

of your making but that is another story.)

       5:00 in the morning

       
       Ranma slips from his bed to begin the morning ritual that he had

begun only yesterday.  A quick ice cold shower brings on the change that he
had become used to over the years.  Looking down at her self Ranko smiled.
Reaching back behind her head she released the hair tie she had worn for the
last four years, and letting her hair fall down to its full length.  <I
guess I'd better get ready for school.>  Brushing her hair Ranko had made up
her mind.  As she worked quickly her hair began to take shape in the style
of an reverse pony tail.  Braiding her hair down to the small of her back
she smiled.  It was time for a fresh start.

       After finaly finding the shirt she was looking for Ranko quickly

got dressed. The stylized green chinese dragon on the red shirt with her
traditional gi' pants.  Grabbing her papers as ahe ran for the door Ranko
failed to notice the cat just outside the door as she shot off down the
street.  

       <Well, The girls were right she isn't radiating any bad vibes, but

whoever she is she has a lot more power than any other human that I've seen.
Better tel Luna to keep an eye on her, for a while.>  The cat seems to smile
as it darts of down the street to find its' prey.
