Wow, I'm actually going to post something. Hard for me to believe. 
Guess that means I'm no longer a lurker.... Ah well, there's a price for 
everything I guess....

The year, 2035.

The city, Mega-Tokyo.

The music, is blaring.


	A very effeminate looking man sighed, his contact could have 
picked a better spot to meet, or a better time at least. The club was 
overflowing with the young and cynical, the music from the band (Priss 
and the Replicants, if he recalled) providing a temporary surcease from 
the vapid emptiness of their lives. 
	The music in and of itself was not bad, the man admitted; much 
better than the usual pap, but the way the crowd just gave in like 
lemmings to the music annoyed him. What also annoyed him was the 
lateness of his contact, one more drink and that was, oh, that must be 
him.

	A dishevelled looking man in his late twenties shuffled over to 
the table, wearing a rumpled, featureless suit. "Frank Norman Stein?" he 
asked.

	The man sitting at the table nodded, and spoke with a voice that 
could be easily mistaken for a husky female one. "Yeah. You have trouble 
finding what I want?"

	"Down to the most minute detail. Here are the specifications."

	"When can I get it?"

	"We can go now if you like, everything is all set up."

	Motoko Kusanagi followed the shuffling man out of the club with a 
smile. It would be good to have a female body again.


Notes: Yup, GITS/BGC. The idea’s been kicking around in my head for a 
while now, so I decided to finally start it. I plan on drawing from both 
the GITS manga and the movie for some things, so prepare to be confused 
unless you have some familiarity with both. I’ll also probably be 
including a reference or two to ADPolice Files, but Bubblegum Crash 
never happened.
Now all I need is a title. How about Bubblegum Ghost? Possibly Shell 
Crisis? Right now, I’m partial to ShellGames, but I’m not sure why. Any 
preferences?

Aside: Probably the first teaser I’ve written (and most likely the 
beginning of the story too). Maybe one day I’ll put up some of the other 
stuff I’ve worked on/am working on.
