Well, one of those has been started. I remember reading a (very good IMHO) 
crossover fic featuring Macross (the first series and Macross Seven no
less ^_^) and Gundam. It is called "Down the Dragon's throat", but only
two chapters were posted, and I was not able to find the author or his
friend (who posted it to the ffml) to deliver C&C and prod him for more.
Now it is too late, I guess :-(

And it DID include a big statement about the crossover specifics and who
had what edge above the other to diminish the flame possibilities ;-)
