Not particularly interested. I have no free time as it is to spare for
RPing, much less people to RP with. And that's discounting my
'dislike', as it were, for magic. ;)
Oh, then why do you want magic to work? You can do this without magic you
know (of course having the characters have a healthy superstition about
magic would be good, especially in Japan).
*I* do not want magic to work. The original poster of this had
suggested that. I'd rather leave out the magic altogether.
It would be *much* more challenging, and in my estimation, much more
*FUN*, to do this story without resort to magic of any sort. Figure out
how to do it with Jules Verneish style tech, or Spirit-of-Wonderish, for
those of you who may have seen that anime. ;)
of course that works too...
I intend to work on it, and you can count on that. >:)
This would work, especially if Quincy is leaning on Japanese superstition
for his sucess in Japan (he _tells_ everybody that technology is magic and
that only certain people can use it, people of course under his employ.
The Knight Sabers symbolic goal would then be to free technology from the
grip of the few and put it squarely in the hands of the masses.)
Well, I don't intend to do this. I have something completely different
in mind. You'll see. >:)
But, of course...I need a *plot* first... ;) (a single story plot,
that is; I already have the rest of the "universe" fleshed out in my
mind)
I do have some other ideas, mainly having to do with what kind of
fantasy/non-magic setting to set this in, but... *evil grin*
So, how many people can we conceivably get to work on this together and
still have a decent story that makes sense? I think three is really
pushing it, and someone else has already come up with a snippet of
prose, so... Vat you think, all?
Hey if you can do it...
Well, sort of. I have no idea of what to use for a plot. I have great
ideas for setting and "perspective", but I think the plot ranks a little
more important...yunno? ;)
If you have a setting and perspective and well designed characters, often
the plot writes itself (or goes in directions you didn't want it to)
belive me I know.
Not in my case. I don't want to re-interpret the standard "enter the
Knight Sabers" story. That's been done to death. That's why I'm
looking for someone with a decent head for plots and complex storylines
to pair up with in writing this.
