I don't think you should take this one too much to heart. Akane's distrust
of Ranma and total rejection of him may seem extreme to some, but consider
that her distrust of Ranma has been shown again and in the canon story. So
far as I know, she hasn't actually seen Ranma *kissing* any other girl in
the canon story line. She normally only sees Ranma being hugged which sends
her into a rage. If this is indeed the first 'kiss' she's seen, I don't
think it's a very big stretch to believe she would react the way she has in
this story. She's never listened to Ranma's explainations in the past, why
should this be different? [snip]

Evidently you didn't understand what I meant by the comment made above. (As a
pre-reader for part 1, I explained what I thought about this to Ryan in more
detail, so I figured he'd know what I mean here.)

I didn't have a problem with Akane's distrust of Ranma or the way she reacted to
seeing the kiss. What I was saying is that I would have liked Ryan to get us
inside her head the way he did for the others, to show us *why* she reacted that
way.
