Vending Machines
<SNIP>
Probably the most controversial vending machine venture in recent years
has been for the sale of used panties. Ostensibly once owned and worn by
female high-school students, the panties come in vacuum-sealed packs of three
(with a photo of the erstwhile owner) and are targeted at the average
fetishtic man about town. The cost? Around 3000 to 5000 yen, amking them
the perfect, reasonably priced Japanese souvenir for the folks at home.

I'm beginning to wonder if maybe Happosai is an AVERAGE dirty old man. He's
just too cheap to pay for them.
Note: To any one of Japanese nationality or descent. I'm not trying to make
fun of your culture. I am simply pointing out things that are VERY foreign
to our western way of thinking. It is around unusual items like these that
our imaginations can create stories. No insult is intended or, I hope,
implied.
P.S. Travel guides, like the afore mentioned Lonely Planet series, can be
very useful in Anime based fanfic writing. They are designed to present you
with alot of information about Japan rapidly. The cultural differences
presented in them can serve as great springboards to stories.
