"Soft Sell"

This premise is worth continuing with. There are no major problems with
the writing. Questions:

1) Did you clarify where in the continuity this story diverges? You may
have, because there was an incident that seemed familiar. But certain
continuity questions occur to me which you might consider. If Shampoo
didn't get to Japan by mailing her cat form to Ranma in a box, how did
she get back? (Or is that relevant?) Is Cologne at all connected with
this ploy?
2) Presuming that Shampoo KO'd Kuno for some come-on of his, is his
pursuit of her going to be an ongoing plot issue, or just a passing
joke?
3) For anyone:  is there a definitive way to write Shampoo's Chinese
name in English? This story uses Shan Puu; Richard Lawson uses Xian Pu;
there are probably others I haven't seen yet. Same question for Cologne
and Mousse. Sorry if this is an old question that's been settled on the
list before. I haven't been subscribed for very long.
