	So my question is this:

What do you do to get in the mood for Fanfic Writing?

Think about it before you answer, you may even want to get in the
mood before writing the response. The various answers we get may
enlighten you, astound you, or maybe even inspire you.

Inspire me? That would be nice... ^)^

1) Turn off radio, TV, stereo and all other external distractions
- including my wife/boss/who-or whatever. I *can't* concentrate
to write (or do anything else for that matter) if something's
going on in the background. Give your full attention to the task
at hand, says I.

For example, I'm just trolling through this morning's e-mail and
newsgroup downloads - about 350 items in total - in silence,
which is heavenly...

And that's it, basically. Most of my ideas spring 'full blown' in
terms of plot - and the one that didn't - my current work in
progress - is being a sod to finish because something isn't there
yet. My best pieces IMHO are my 'shorts' which invariably spring
into my mind in a finished state apart from a little polishing.
(Which sounds horribly egotistical, but which is simply the way
they work for me.)
