An idea for a Ranma story:

Akane is kidnapped and taken to Jusenkyo. Ranma and Ryoga go to rescue her
and find her suspended over the same pool Ryoga was cursed by. Ranma is knocked
out of commission and Ryoga must make the biggest decision of his life; Rescue
Akane and risk her ending up with Ranma, or letting her fall into the pool
thereby sharing his curse and becoming his perfect mate...

This is assuming that once she falls in and realizes who she's been
sleeping with all this time she doesn't kill Ryoga.  Also the fact that
Akane's cursed doesn't put her out of the running for Ranma (as seen in
Nekophobia by David Eddy)  But this is a good idea for a beginning.
