  Why wouldn't he?  If the fox was trapped by a fallen log or some similar
problem, why wouldn't Ranma help it out if he came across it? Or perhaps
the fox is being chased by dogs or other creatures. Ranma would have no
trouble empathizing with the fox.  It should be easy to construct a
situation where Ranma saves a fox.
