Nanami was passing by the workshop, when she spotted Makoto lost in thought.

She walked on a little further then doubled back.  "Hey Makoto!  I
thought you'd be with Ifurita now that you've retrieved her from Earth?
Say, is something wrong?"

"Yes, the rabbit died."

"Wow, that was quick!  Congratulations!  WAIT!  Ifurita's a machine.
How did this happen?"

"I guess it just wore out."

"Huh?"

"Did you ever wonder what sort of power source could sustain Ifurita
over twenty thousand years?  Over that time any useful radioactives
would have decayed away to nothing."

"So what happened?"

"When I woke up this morning, Ifurita was lying there cold and
motionless.  I couldn't wake her up at all.  So I opened her up and
found this."  Makoto pointed to a half-disassembled mechanical bunny toy
with fake pink fur on the workbench.  "If I can't fix this, she'll never
stir again."
