	After aging 50-odd years during her exorsism, she told Ranma that
she had lost her link with the Tao and was going to die shortly... then
reverted to her youth the second Rei and Ranma left.
	You lost me (and possibly half the list) there.

The only plausible reason that I could think of is that she was lying to
Ranma. I mean, how much does Ranma know about the Tao and exorcism? That's
possibly why she said that after Rei was not at the scene (she was going
back for the car) 'cause Rei would be an expert in those things.
