Subject: [Please Read] Questions about Spamfics???

Hi Everyone.

I'm having a real problem with the designation [Spamfic]. I really
consider a Spamfic to be a short self-insertion fic, a fic about sig
characters, or a story that is started by one person and continued by
others. Stories like these Gross-out Lemons or the Bulwer/Lytton stories
are what I think of as Spamfics. SOOOO I have been deleting Spamfics right
and left for ages now, because those sort of stories don't interest me.
However, recently, I decided to take a look, and discovered two very
interesting short stories, such as "Selected Champion" by Henry J. Cobb and
the Ranma lemon "Return of the Instant Naniichuan" (by ??). I think you are
hurting your chances of being read if you title your stories as "Spamfic"
because most people who hate Spam of any sort will instantly delete them.
Perhaps it would be better to list these stories as [Shortfic] or
something, as to indicate that it's just a one time story, or, perhaps to
honor the most prolific of these short stories, Jeffrey "One-Shot" Wong, we
should call them [One-Shot] ^_^. I don't know, but I think [Spamfic] is
being used incorrectly at the moment.

Just my two thoughts on the subject!
