Only one comment... I'm not sure the girl would have heard
"Ranma" as Wild Horse, because she would have had to see the
Kanji (which are what makes Ranma's name mean wild horse). If
the name was written with a different set of kanji that had
the same Ranma sounds, or even with hirigana (as it usually 
is on the cover of the Japanese Ranma mangas and videos) it
wouldn't necessarily mean wild horse. Inside the manga we
get the character for "Ran" and "Ma" and the particular 
choice of kanji is what makes it "wild horse". Does that
make sense ^^; ^_^
