Apart from that, if he went high enough that the fall would kill
him, the blow that sent him up there already should have done it,
since it delivered exactly the same amount of energy *plus* the
amount lost to friction.
I distinctly remember a short sillyfic where there is a sudden
reality leak (i.e. reality leaks *in*) and suddenly the moves that
the Ranma characters always use on each other turn out deadly.
