Your welcome
One of the people who've responded to my query pointed out a slight problem
that could stop this story dead (pun intended): Nodaka and the promise. Any
ideas on an arguement would let any such marriage take place?
Honour.
An agreement had been made to marry the Saotome offspring to a Tendo
offspring. This was then modified to Ranma marrying Akane. So there
is now an agreement, a commitment between the two specific persons.
It would in a sense be a 'manly' thing to fullfull the terms of the
agreement since they sill have the means to do so, only in reverse.
"My brave son, willing to sacrafic his manhood for the family honour!"
Something along those lines. Again, it would depend on where in the
series this is taking place. After the manga end? Before? There is a
point where she declairs(sp?) that the terms of the promise are met and
accepts his curse.
Then again, is she in the picture at all?
Hope these ramblings will be of some help.
