It's her signiture attack.  Asking her not to use it is like asking Ranma not
to use the Chestnut Fist or Ryoga the Breaking Point.  (BTW, can someone send
me the Japanese names of all the signiture attacks.  My spelling is so bad I

It is -not- her signature attack.  Akane uses tables, stones, table legs, 
and fists.  In fact, I can't think of a single time outside of the first
movie where she =does= use a mallet.
