Are you saying that is a) how he treats people he loves or b) that that 
excuses him?  You're wrong on both counts; first by Nodoka, and second 
by general ethics.  

I think 'love' is meant in the romantic sense, which is not something
Ranma holds for his mother (despite lemons to the contrary), and is
something unfamiliar and frightening to him; both on the giving and
receiving end.
