How about the "Spring of Drowned Godzilla"?  He could have been tripped by
the mountains, landed with his nose in a spring, and lost consiousness
from the fall!  (besides, imagine the confusion caused by changing from a
human to something the size of a city block, and needing to be _covered_
in hot water to change back)(maybe he could heat up a lake or something
with his breath...)
