Oh Gawd! I can't watch!

For me I just continually think up story plots, it's a side effect of how I

Story plots and ideas are not hard for me. In fact, they come very easily
and always at the worst of times. 95% of my ideas never get used [by me].
To give you a sample, here is a short list of ideas I have come up with,
but never wrote and probably never will:

- Ranma and co. sit down and watch an episode of BGC, giving it a good
msting in the process.
- Totoro goes to hell. (Don't ask)
- A fic loosely based on Ranma 1/2. The only similarity was that the main
character has an ailment similar to Ranma's, except there's no magic
involved.
(The real purpose was to give a physical explanation to how Ranma's curse
might work in the real world.)
- A satire of Scott Jamison's 'Sauce.' fic. Various Anime characters come
to help me get into collage. They really come to help. But, of course,
(surprise surprise!) they screw everything up. (And I do mean everything.)
- A 'Wild Arms' fic of some sort. (I may still write this, actually.)

One of my problems is that I am VERY strict about originality. I probably
would not post a fic if I know something like it has been done before.
(Well, I might if I were doing a satire of it or something.)

To tell you the truth, (I'm going to get flamed for this, I just know it.)
I really don't think very many fics that are posted are very original. Many
people are obviously going to disagree with this opinion. But often when I
am reading a fic, I get the feeling I've read something like it before. I
have to admit, my fics aren't much better, and I'm only being a hypocrite.
But, that's the way I feel. Maybe I'm just weird. (Maybe?)

I also think another of my problems is that I am too harsh on myself. I
mean, I usually think of myself as a better writer than the average person.
But, when I actually write something, and then read it back, I think "Oh
GOD! Does this ever suck! I'm a horrible writer. What was I thinking when I
thought I could write this? I'm going to go jump off a bridge." I think a
lot of people suffer from this. Am I right?

But, my biggest problem is most likely that it's hard for me to get into a
'writing' mood. It's really difficult to get me to start writing. I'll try
to think of any excuse possible to keep myself from writing. There is some
good in this, though. I've heard that even professional writers have this
problem.

Well, sorry for this piece of junk mail. It kind of just slipped out. I
know, I know. I've gotta stop writing all this spam. But, spam is so much
fun and simple to write. (Boy, I'm perverse, huh?) Don't worry though. I
promise that my next post will be a [very short] fic of some sort. I'm
going to stop now, before I dig my hole any deeper and get myself shot.
