Before I begin,

I have to thank SKJAM! for doing a review of the first few chapters
of TRIO.

Now that I got that out of the way. On with the show.

				   Part 4:
			        TELL ME WHO I AM

"I should have been there," Ranma said, "I let you down. I let my
fear get the best of me and you could have been killed. I... I...
I'm... sorry."

Usagi looked up at Ranma and said in an annoyed tone, "I know that
you feel bad about what happened. I don't blame you. And if you
apologize one more time, I'm going to scream."

"The main thing is," Gohan said, "that no one got hurt and we've got
a new ally."

"Speaking of which," Ranma added, "did you find that comunicator
that she mentioned?"

Usagi and Gohah had filled Ranma in on the events of the previous
night and now the three of them were gathered around the kitchen
table, planing their next move. "Yep," Usagi answered, "and I know
just how I'm going to use it."

Gohan raised an eyebrow and asked, "How?"

"I'm going to call Sailor Mercury and confront her. I'll get her to
tell me about my past even if it kills me."

"Are you sure that's a good idea? I mean, we're short a member, no
offence Ranma, and we could use all the help we can get. I don't
think we should risk upsetting her."

"It's MY past, so I'M going to do it."

The two men backed off and Ranma said with raised hands, "Whoa! No
need to get grumpy. He was just trying to give you a warning to be
careful with what you do."

Usagi sighed and replied, "I know... but this could be my only
chance."

"I don't know about that," Gohan muttered under his breath.

The others hadn't heard what he said or the fact that he left the
room and continued talking.

Before Gohan left the house, he heard Usagi yell,
"AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!"

	Later that day....

Ami handed the needle to Dr. Tofu as he worked on his display at the
medical show. It had been going well and she had been learning many
medical secrets as she listen to the doctor explain all the
techniques in detail to both her and the audience. After one
demonstration, her comunicator suddenly started to beep. Ami looked
around to see if anyone else had heard it and then said to Dr. Tofu,
"Sir..."

Dr. Tofu sighed and said, "Please, call me Dr. Tofu or Mr. Tofu...
even just Tofu would be okay. Just don't call me 'Sir', my father
was 'Sir'."

"Excuse me Dr. Tofu... but I need to use the bathroom. May I be
excused?"

Tofu smiled and replied, "No problem. Go right ahead."

Ami ran off and after fighting through the crowd, she found a closet
and slipped inside. An unexpected, but not unwelcome, bonus was that
the closet she had chosen had a window leading to the outside. So if
she had to transform, Sailor Mercury wouldn't have to create a scene.
Once she was certain she was alone, she pulled out her comunicator
and flicked it on. "Yes," she asked, "is that you Usagi?"

Usagi, in her Sailor Moon outfit, replied, "Yes. I need you to come
imediatly. It's important."

"What's the pro....." that was as far as Ami got before the
comunication was cut off.

A chill ran down Ami's spine as concern filled her. Something was
wrong. She cracked open the door and made a final check, before she
closed the door, raised her transformation pen to the sky and cried,
"MERCURY STAR POWER! MAKE UP!"

Ami transformed into Sailor Mercury and opening the window, jumped
out onto a nearby rooftop and started her search for Sailor Moon.
She tapped the left side of her tiara and a blue VR visor formed over
her eyes as the blue highlighted Senshi pulled out her hand held
computer from its subspace pocket and turned it on. She scaned the
area for the signal that was given off by Sailor Moons comunicator
and her visor showed her the results. "The signal is coming from
that direction," Mercury thought, "I've got to hurry, she might be in
trouble."

A couple of giant leaps later....

Sailor Mercury finally spoted her friend and saw that she was
standing on the roof of an apartment building, alone, and seemingly
all right. "Whatever problem they had," Mercury thought, "must have
resolved itself and Usagi is probably waiting to tell me everything
is okay."

For some reason though a feeling in her gut and the determined look
on Sailor Moons face, told her a different story. When she landed,
Sailor Mercury said, "I got your message. Is everything all right?"

Sailor Moon looked at Sailor Mercury and replied, "No. Everything
isn't all right?"

	"What's wrong?"

	"Me."

"Huh?" Mercury exclaimed. It wasn't like Usagi to be so cryptic.

"I don't know who I am. I have only bits and pieces of my life
before I... came here to New York, nothing that tells me who I was.
I tried asking Sailor Pluto but she's too tight lipped. I was hoping
you could help me."

"You scared me half to death for THIS?! I thought it was something
important!!" Mercury exclaimed, letting her emotions temporarily
overcome her intelect and instantly regretting it.

Sailor Moon flinched as if physicaly struck and turned her back to
Sailor Mercury. The blonde Senshis hands balled into fists and in a
quavering voice said, "So that's the way it is. You other Senshi
just run along and know everything, while little old stupid Sailor
Moon just has to be left in the dark."

"Usagi..." The second SM started but was cut off.

"I mean, it's not like I'm important, you said so yourself. Heaven
forbid that I want to know more about myself. I'd probably just get
in the way and make a mess of everything if I knew too much, right?
!"

"No," Mercury began, hearing her own voice crack, "It's not like
that at all. I'm sorry I snapped at you... but I can't help you."

Moon looked at her, tears brimming, and she sobbed out a single word
question, "Why?"

Mercury licked her lips nervously and replied, "It's just... just...
I..."

Feeling herself losing control, Sailor Mercury leaped away before
she balbed the whole story and as she started to cry she shouted out,
"Usagi. I'm sorry!"

"MERCURY, COME BACK HERE!" Sailor Moon roared, her voice a mixture
of anger and sadness.

The Senshi of the Moon prepared to leap off in pursuit when a flash
of green and red caused her to turn and she saw Great Sayaman, who
seemed a bit distracted as he landed in a nearby alley. Two choices
stood before her and for better or worse, she decided to check on the
one she felt she had more trust for at the moment.

Sayaman looked around and after making sure he was alone called out,
"Hey, is anyone here?"

A man in black (rimshot) stepped out of the shadows and said, "I'm
here."

Sayaman sighed and said mirthlessly, "Oh joy. ANOTHER new contact.
"

"Trust me," the man replied, "in this line of work, it pays to not
work with one particular person for too long. Now, as to why we
called..."

"Hold it a second," Sayaman interupted, "What about the information
you promised?"

"I have it right here," the man handed a folder to Sayaman and also
a wad of bills, "and here is your salery."

From her possition on the roof top, Sailor Moon fought down a gasp
as she watched the events. Her mind shot out several rational (and
several irrational) reasons her friend could be down there. "Only
one way to find out," she muttered to herself.

Sayaman listen to the briefing and ran back the basics as his
contact left. Mysterious energy drains were occuring all over the
city and it was possible the Eclipse Syndicate....

His thoughts were stopped when an angry voice behind him said, "Care
to tell me what's going on? Or do I have to guess?"

Sayaman whirled to see an upset Sailor Moon behind him. An image of
when Usagi had tried to choke him for failing to get her broach back
flashed in his mind and he didn't want a repeat of that incident. He
licked his lips and said, "Umm... well.... you see..."

Sailor Moon glared at him and said a little angrier then she had
intended, "I've already had a bad morining and I'm not in the mood
for an excuse or an 'I can't tell you' line."

Sayaman thought about it and thought about it and finally said,
"Okay. (Sigh) I guess I don't have a choice. Here, look at this."

He handed her the folder he had been given and she opened it.
Sailor Moon went wide eyed as she read. It was a whole bunch of
important looking papers with information. More important, it was
information about HER. Information about her age, her birthday, her
address and other such information. "Where did you get this?" she
finally asked.

Sayaman replied, "Do you remember that letter we got about the
checks? That day we fought Camele?"
	(See chapter 5)

	"Yeah."

"Well, there was more to it. It told me to come alone to an address
and I would see someone there. I went and I learned that the docs
found out about my... special abilities. They tried giving a sample
of my blood to a monkey and while they wouldn't go into details, I
heard that it leveled half of the building before they got it under
control.

"Now, after that display AND seeing the news of when we first
started being the Trio, they put two and two together and...."

"They know about us," Sailor Moon finished.

"Yes," Sayaman answered with a nod, "Now, they were origionaly
planing to put us in a lab and observe us but a group called 'Section
Six' interviened. They know of the existance of the Eclipse
Syndicate and they are trying to fight it. However, being only
normal humans, they haven't had much luck."

"So," Sailor Moon finished, "they decided, since the Eclipse
Syndicate is after us, they could use us to fight them."

Sayaman nodded and Sailor Moon snapped, "So why didn't you tell us?!
If I'm going to be used as a pawn, I'd like to know about it!"

"Because it was part of the deal. I know that's a lame excuse but
let me finish. In exchange for being a contact to the Trio, I was
given a slaery and also I've been given information that they've
collected on you and Ranma, they haven't found anything about me yet
though. I didn't tell you about the latter though because I wanted
to save it until I had more then just bits and pieces.

"Also, I didn't tell you two because... well, I was afraid."

"Afraid," Sailor Moon asked, "Afraid of what?"

"Afraid you would hate me and think that I sold you out."

Sailor Moon smiled sadly and nodded, "I don't hate you. From the
way you tell it, you didn't really have a choice in the matter and I
think I know you well enough to know that you wouldn't lie to me...
or Ranma."

Sayaman sighed and replied, "I knew that was coming eventually. I
guess I better get ready for him to yell at me."

"Now who says I'm going to do that?"

The two heros turned and saw Yin Yang leaning against a wall by the
mouth of the alley. Sailor Moons face lit up and said, "Ranma!
Where did you come from?"

"Well," Yin Yang explained, "I was going to check to see how your
meeting with Mercury went and also to see if I could just leap around
in this outfit with out freezing up."

Then he turned to Sayaman and said, "As for you, I am mad that you
didn't tell me about this. A few weeks ago, I probably would have
jumped on you and not let you get a word in edge wise. However," he
flashed a grin at Sailor Moon, "things have changed and I'm not as
much of a hot head as I used to be. So I'm willing to listen."

As they do, we must now go see a special development....

The man took in his suroundings as the glare of the yellow portal
faded away. He was in the throne room of the Eclipse Lord and he
snapped as his blue eyes flashed in rage, "Who dares to summon
Kunzuite, the mightiest General of the Dark Kingdom, in such a crude
fashion?!!!"

"CRUDE?!!!?" Warp exclaimed with wounded pride.

"Greetings Kunzuite," Eclipse Lord said, "I understand that you must
be confused at the sudden change in your surroundings but sufice it
to say that it is for the best that you are here."

"No one tells a general of Queen Beryl and Queen Matalia what is for
the best!!!"

"Then you are a general without a Queen. Both of the beings of
which you speak were killed by Sailor Moon. In fact, the battle I
had Warp pull you from was the one in which YOU died."

Kunzuite was still recovering from the first part of the statement.
"Dead. My Queen... dead. And Zoicite.... I never got revenge."

"Ahh, but you can. I have brought you here because the one you hate
is in a weakened condition."

"Sailor Moon... vulnerable?" A look of malice passed over Kunzuites
face and he said as he kneeled before Eclipse Lord, "What do you want
me to do?"

Lujane stepped forward and said, "Master. A thought occured to me.
We have been pulling things from the past. We have only assumed the
Time/Space Device can go back in time. Could it be possible to pull
something from the future?"

Silence filled the room as the leader of the Eclipse Syndicate
thought about it and he said, "Warp. See if it is possible."

Warp nodded and closed her eyes. She tried to envision what the
world would look like in hundreds of years and an image began to form
in the room. It showed what looked like Gohan, in Super Saya-Jin
form, trying to fight a mountain of muscle that was the same thing
Gohan was. This man mountain was almost nine feet tall, with a hawk
like face and an insaine glint in his eye. He was topless and purple
baggy pants covered his waist. Warp pulled and brought him through.

The being landed on the floor and stood. Silence reigned until the
man opened his mouth and shouted, "KAKAROTO!!!!!"
