This came across RAAC this afternoon. I thought some of you would be interested:

Subject: [ADMIN] status update

As some have noticed, things are a little bogged down in some corners of
the RAAC moderation process. I've done a bit of a moderator shuffle so
things should mostly be moving again. If you've submitted a fic and
haven't seen it for a long time, please give it another couple weeks for
things to settle down and move around in the moderation team, then if it
still hasn't shown up send it in again. We're also in the process of
bringing two or three new moderators up to speed, which I hope will help
in the long run.

To those who have mailed me in the last month or so, please be patient.
I *am* answering my mail, I'm just rather behind on it due to larger
than normal (for me) time commitments in the real world. My own
moderation queue is empty as of a few minutes ago, and the archiving
queue will be dealt with by the time Wednesday's archive update is
posted. I'll get to all the coordinator email as soon as possible.

These sorts of partial failures are an unfortunate side effect of the
distributed moderation system we use to make RAAC manageable, so I can't
say it won't happen again, but we do our best as usual. I have some
ideas for a software tracking system to assist in alerting me to
potential problems earlier, but writing the code will depend on finding
the mythical Beast of Free Time.
