of course most funerals (and I could be mistaken about the film.but I
doubt it.) have recient grooms hopping into coffins or trying to take
their fathers to their bridal bed......

I'd really appreciate some information on how funerals are conducted in 
Japan.

For a look at a modern (50's) funeral, try the very entertaining film, 
'The Funeral,' by Itami Juzo (available in North America).
