Let's not totally knock spam. I probably wouldn't have thought of this
if the "Who is Ryoga's best babe" spam thread today hadn't gotten me
thinking about what kind of relationship these two have really had in
the source. Still, I'm glad that this fic seems to have killed that
thread (or it died on its own); and when Tybalt gets back to cutting the
spam down to manageable levels, I'll be a happy guy.

I'm a softy at heart, I guess. If it were me, sometime around about the time
they were playing with their great grandchildren, I'd have them realize the
plan wasn't likely to work, but decide their lives weren't completely
wasted, after all.

Even trancendentally stubborn people might eventually get a tiny clue, eh?

They might. But I'm a ruthless bastard myself :-) as you may know from
some of my other fics. Besides, I already gave Ryoga a break in HaM.
