The main character doesn't actually have MPD disorder at all. He
actually, literally has the souls of his former tribe living inside him.
At the end, they depart for the afterlife or whatever and he goes on to
live a more normal life on his own. This was actually a good
explanation why these seeming "extra" personalities would give him extra
powers and abilities rather than making him a raving nutcase who'd have
to be kept locked up. Do you think the author of this series will
spring a similiar revelation on us about Ranma?

This is going to be different. Sorak was a powerful psionic who
was able to capture a mental image of those closest to him. Ranma's
mind shattered. All the personalities are a part of him. I can go
in to greater detail here, but I think I'll wait until the last
chapter is out. =)
