What about the differnet religions (Christianity and fundamentalist Islam
come to mind) that perhaps are a wee bit *opposed* to worshiping Serenity
as a Goddess? And if humanity has spread throughout space by then--I find
it hard to believe that we'll *still* be all on the same planet--how is she
gonna gather them all under her control?
Just a few thoughts for fic idea perusal (has anything like this
been done? It seems like a natural for a darkfic).

I've done(and am still doing) the personal aspect of one of the people
who couldn't accept Serenity's rule(I'm Here to Help), but not a more
global "everyone vs the Senshi" type story.

I seriously doubt that Serenity expects to be worshipped as a goddess,
BTW.

Things are a bit vague on the SM future, but there is a period where the
Earth is covered in ice, and this period is supposed to be a long
time - centuries, I think. So it's quite possible that space travel wasn't
well developed. On the other hand, the people who left to Nemesis had to
get there somehow, so yes, it is quite possible that other planets could
have been previously colonised and refused to accept Serenity as ruler.
