GALL FORCE: finally, peace?
Chapter 1
It's only been six months,mused lufy, how can things change so
much in such a short time?
After three days of rest in French Polynesia, after destroying the
solnoid equipment storage site, the group of thirteen women and
ten men decided it was time to go home
After flying all the heavy equipment 1/2 way around the World, they had to till dark to approach Lunenburg, lest they attract attention to them selves and MRS Ross
When they finally got all the equipment stored back in the hanger, they were ALL tired, the women went upstairs to their rooms and the men trudged over to the apartment building
As they walk to the building, they notice a light in the living room and Derek moans "oh no, did we forget to tell MRS Ross where we were going?" but when they enter the living room there are three R.C.M.P. officers with Mrs Ross
The ranking officer, a Sergeant asks, "where have you men been?, Dalhousie University states that you ALL vanished without warning" and the students look at one another in shock, "further more, the Secondary Vocational School is missing two students, would you JUST happen to know where they ARE?"
To this, Mrs Ross adds "the Park Service called five times, asking about Patty, Abby and swee'pea", Derek slowly nods "we really are sorry about all this but we, uh, had to go help the U.N. with a little problem" he says, as he tells the Sergeant the phone number for Catty Nebulart
"If you call this person, she should be able to verify my story", Mrs Ross and the officers looked shocked and a Corporal add "well, let us check into this but in the meantime, we need to place you ALL under arrest, pending our findings, now do you know where the women are?"
The students look at each other and nod, then Chet says "we know where they are, however I think it would be best if one of us talks to them first, I can promise you that they'll make no attempt to escape"
Oskar adds "you might want to call for a bus to transport us all, there ARE twenty of us", the officers agree to Chet's idea and follow the men back to the hanger, the sergeant says "I don't remember this being here before", looking at the hanger
Chet and one of the Corporal's enter the building and move to the spiral] staircase, where Chet bangs on it with a metal bar that hangs there for that reason
Amy's face appears and she asks "yes, who is it?, oh hi chet, lemme get Rabby" and she disappears and the men can hear voices overhead and then Rabby comes down the stairs, saying "Chet, is there something wrong?" and then she sees the R.C.M.P. officer "oh dear, I guess there is"
the officer explains the problem and relates what will happen to the whole group, "wait, wait, why don't you let me go upstairs and tell everyone so you wont have to repeat yourself" Rabby comments, at this chet looks alarmed, "it's okay Chet, I don't think there will be a problem"
Rabby returns to the second floor and calls everyone's attention and explains the trouble that they (and the men) are in "but it's late, can they come back in the morning?" spea asks
Eluza answers "if we don't go quietly now, they'll bring a bigger force and damage this building and maybe the apartment building, I suggest we agree to go whit the officers"
Catty states "if Derek gave the sergeant my mothers number and they call her, we'll be out in no time, with NO questions asked"
At this the women all nod and proceed down stairs to the waiting officer, who looks on in shock as ten women appear and state that they will come right now
He leads them back to the apartment's, where the Sergeant and the other's are waiting "well you are right, son, we WILL need a large vehicle" he says to Oskar
the sergeant calls for one on his radio and then they all move back inside to wait for it, where Mrs Ross has made coffee and laid out some cheese and crackers for snacks, saying "I expect that you all could use SOMETHING to eat"
There are thanks all around as the group takes coffee cups and snacks and find places to sit while they wait for the bus, the women sitting close to the male of their choice
The hum of conversation is about how sorry the men are, forgetting to tell the women that they should have told SOMEONE that they would be gone so the trouble they are currently in could have been avoided
Eluza comments to Oskar "really, it's all right, we are as much to blame as you, running off to fight a battle that should NEVER been needed if all "our" sisters laid the old war to rest", then thinking of something, she writes out a short note
Derek is apologizing to Lufy for messing up so badly "I mean going off without TELLING any one, that's really stupid" and Lufy wraps her arms around him, whispers is his ear "charging into to battle before thinking is MY job, I'll have you know" and then kisses him
after 15 minutes the bus arrives and the officers guide the group aboard as Mrs Ross looks on in shock, Eluza turns to her and bows, saying "we are truly sorry to bring this trouble to your home, when we return, we shall do all that is needed of us" as she hands Mrs Ross a note
Mrs Ross watches the bus pull away, leaving her, Denise, Darlene and a man who looks like Patty standing in the dark "well, lets get you all inside" Mrs Ross says as she opens the note
Dear Mrs Ross
Please take care of Born while we are gone, he is new to the planet and he looks like Patty, also keep Denise OUT of the hanger, if you can.
Cathy, the android, her friend and lover, had to be shut down while we were away, her body is upstairs in her room, THERE is nothing wrong with her, she just needs to be awoken, which WE will do after we get back

Mrs Ross looks at the person she now knows as Born and says "well, Born, I have at least nine aliens living here, might as well make it ten, do you need to eat?"
Born Looks at the woman and states "you mean that you KNOW all the Solnoid's were'nt birthed here?", Mrs Ross looks puzzled for a moment and then says "OH, you mean born on this planet, yes I know that"
Denise walks over to them and says "Born, if you want,. I'll tell you all I know about what has happened to them since they arrived here"
Darlene, hearing all this, slowly backs away from the group, a wild look in her eye and then tells Mrs Ross "let Patty know I'm gonna go do some thinking about what I've gotten myself into, will you?, I'll be back in a day or two, maybe" with that she runs into the night
Denise cries out "Darlene, wait" but she's already lost to sight
"well, one can only hope she'll be back" and she sighs
And the three turn and move into the house

The next morning, at the jail, the Sergeant tells the Captain the tale of what happened last night "and you believe them?" the Captain asks
"well, Sir, I DID call that number they gave us and it IS a direct line to the U.N. office of a Catty Nebulart" the Sergeant replies
"I see, well let me have the number and I'll contact Ms Nebulart myself"
the Captain says and the Sergeant reads it off for him and then exits the office
Alone the officer dials the number and waits for an answer "ah, hello, this is Captain Stammel of the RCMP in Nova Scotia calling, am I talking to Catty Nebulart? good, Ms Nebulart, I have have in my Jail a group of twenty people, more women then men, who claim that they have been on a mission for the U.N."
"You do?, well, let me see" he picks a paper from the pile on his desk "yes , yes those are the names, so you CAN confirm that these people DID do a job for the U.N., yes, yes, I can see where that might lead but I did need to check out their story, thank you very much for your time, goodbye" and he puts the handset back down
He sits for a moment, then calls out "SERGEANT" and the officer re-enters the office "yes sir" he states and the Captain says "release the people that were taken into custody last night and give them a lift back home, right away", the Sergeant and leaves to follow his orders
In their cell's, separated by gender, the group hears the door to the holding area open and then see the Sergeant coming down the aisle with a set of keys, he unlocks the cell doors and says "you are all free to go, if you need one, lift will be provided for you all"
They decide to take the offer of a ride and thank the Sergeant

After returning to the apartment building the group seek out Mrs Ross and ask her if there is any thing wrong, "well, Darlene ran off last night, saying that she needed to sort things out and that she might be back" Mrs Ross replies
Patty look a little shaken but nods and then the women go and enter the hanger, going upstairs to Cathy's room and start getting ready to reactivate the android
Just then Denise enters the room and looks on in hope, saying "I hope she'll be alright after this"
Catty reaches over and pushes the power button on Cathy's neck, Mal, who has a scanner out, checks the readings and shakes her head "no, I'm afraid that just 'turning' her back on wont work, we need to get her to Captain Nebulart as soon as we can"
Catty says "I'll take her there, I've got an idea that might work, and not just for this unit but ALL the android's that were damaged, I need to check with mother first"
