The fifth type? The non-fanfic fanfic writer.
Um. I think you all are getting a little confused, here.
My analysis is of types/styles of writing that grab and hold a
reader's attention, somehow. These aren't fanfic genres or anything....
Again, the three are the Epic Weaver (long, complicated, involved stories
that draw the reader in because of its wonderful complexity), the
Wordsmith (careful choice of words and word order for a biting effect,
such as humor or shock), and Mood Shaping (also a word choice one, but for
the effect of strongly conveying a general feeling, by using details and
emotive words). John Biles has put up a possible fourth, that of the
Author Character--self-insertion, of sorts. I'm still thinking that one
over.
