Well, should I burn this and pretend I never thought of it?
Probably. ^_^
Seriously though, you're going to have to build a history for these new
characters that will fit in with the rest of the Ranma craziness.
Um... did you read the name of Ranma's "fiance"? It was Tenchi Masaki.
I don't think there's going to be much of a problem with them fitting in
with the Ranma craziness
Then there's the problem that Ranma is a boy. He won't go for this at all.
Since when has that stopped Genma?
I don't really see Genma actually doing it. He wants to raise a son to
carry on. Marrying him off as a daughter goes against everything Genma
and his macho pride.
Genma has pride? Remember who we're talking about. The guy who engaged
his son for an okanomiyaki cart. The guy who says that you should give
up _everything_ for the art. Besides he doesn't need a son to carry on
the traditions he needs a marriage (that's why he engaged Ranma to one
of Soun's daughters, their marriage would produce a grandchild who would
carry on the Art.).
Will Soun (and the daughters) come looking for Genma and Ranma? Will the
attitude of the girls be different if they did? What of the other
fiances. Can you imagine Ukyou showing up and finding Ranma trying to be
a girl. Then there's Tsubasa. Kunou will have a field day. ^_^
Soun doesn't have to know. Genma never sent him the letter, remember.
He'll be waiting for Genma until the end of his days. As for the
fiancee's... Shampoo and Ukyo you have to worry about--of course Shampoo
will just want to kill Ranma and Ukyo... Kodachi, Kuno, and the rest of
Nerima crew you don't have to worry about since Tenchi doesn't go to
Furinkan High.
You get the idea.
If you can turn out a viable story using this idea... I'd be really
interested.
See ya
