Sorry about the spammish, folks, but this does pertain
to a fanfic I'm writing, so I hope ya don't mind. n.n;;

Natsumi, the older of the two 'Tendo' girls from the
Ranma 1/2 OAV 'Akane and her Sisters' uses an odd sort
of staff in combat.  Scriviner described it as looking
like a rugbeater, which it ain't.

Are you sure about that?  I've seen a rugbeater that looks an
awful lot like that.  

That aside, it seems to be a ridiculous weapon to start with, even
considering the Ranma crew's odd set of gear.  I mean, putting something
at the end of a staff I can get, (spear, pole arm, etc..even mancatchers)
even if it's nothing more than a weight to give the weapon more damage
potential.  But that THING at the end of Natsumi's weapon seems to serve
no rational purpose.
