I am in the process of trying to write a Ranma 1/2 FanFic.  I have a concept, 
here it is let me know what you think.  If you like the concept enough to use 
it, then go ahead, it is always interesting to see multiple authors take on 
the same subject, and you might write a better story than me, I would even 
help pre read :) .    Wether or not I will get far with it I don't know.  I 
hope to do it as a series, if not a series then at least a long one shot 
story.   If you have any suggestions for me or if you just hate the idea 
either way, let me know.  I hope to post atleast parts of the first chapter 
soon.  This is my first fan fic so things may be a bit shaky at first, but I 
will leave it up to the readers to decide if it is great or just plain bad.

The concept is a little unusual.  It is an alternate
reality type story.  It takes place after the manga as
far as I can tell.  I have not seen/read the episode
about the "bombed" wedding attempt, but I have heard
about it, and this story is assumed to start some time
after that.  Just how long I will decide later.

It would appear that some of the denizens of the spirit
world have taken an interest in the affairs of certain
individuals in the Nerima district of Tokyo.  It would
appear that some of the individuals currently causing
large amounts of property damage are descendent from
supernatural beings, and as such have some unusual
talents.

The majority of these supernatural beings have long
since returned to the planes from which they came.
Because of this the spirits often take interest in the
decedents of these beings, thinking of them as their
children.

Lately however the center of their "children's"
activities has revolved around the Nerima district, and
Ranma Saotome, one of the strongest of their kind.

A number of things have become obvious to the spirits
about this group.

	1) Almost none of them know what they are.
	
	2) Most of them are untrained in their abilities.
	
	3) There will be no peace among them until the
	current situation is resolved or brought to some
	degree of order.
	
Various factions would like to see the situation handled
in various ways.  Currently there are two primary beings
that I have worked into the story line.  A being known
only as the Entity, which influences the characters
through dreams, because it has no physical form on this
plain, and a spirit known as Fusao, who has three
primary forms that he uses while on this plane, that of
a human, a large white cat, and an odd looking bird that
looks like a cross between a raven and a slightly
reptilian parrot.((I am looking for a better name.  I
chose this one at random from A list of Japanese names I
has in a book about learning Japanese.))

The Entity basically comes to the characters in dreams,
trying to force them to make a decision immediately,
weather it be a good decision or bad.

Fusao, on the other hand, would like to insure that they
know all their options, so that they may chose wisely.

One thing that has gone unspoken, is that they have
chosen not to reveal to the "children" what their true
nature is, as they feel that at this time it may cause
more harm than good.  The Entity does not wish to harm
Ranma or the others, it is merely impatient.
