MST is short for Mystery Science Theater 3000, a television show
dedicated to making good natured fun of the worst movies, shorts and
fanfiction ever made.   

The storyline features Joel Robinson, a mild mannered janitor for
Gizmonic Institute, whom was sent into space via Satellite by a deranged
mad scientist named Dr. Clayton Forrester.  Dr. F forces Joel to watch
bad films and shorts while monitoring his mind.

In order to keep from going insane, Joel built two robot companions, Tom
Servo and Crow T. Robot, out of spare parts and together the trio make
fun of the films/fanfics they are shown.
