I have *no* idea where this came from.  Spoilers for The End of
Evangelion.


     Asuka and Shinji walked along the shore, exploring.  They wouldn't be
able to do this for much longer, judging by Asuka's expanding belly, but
it was prudent to explore as much of this new "Earth" as they could.
     They had thought they were alone, not having seen a single soul for
over six months.  Thus is was with some surprise that they saw another
couple heading up the beach in the opposite direction.  The woman also
appeared to be about five months pregnant, and the man seemed to have an
innocence about him, one that Shinji certainly lacked.
     They came up to one another and stared for about a minute.  Then
Asuka spoke up.
     "Look, we didn't see each other, OK?"
     "Fine by me," the other girl replied.  Asuka nodded and kept walking
down the beach, Shinji trailing along puzzled after her.
     The man watched them go, then turned back towards his partner.  "Was
that wise?"
     Rumy looked at Boy fondly.  "Trust me, if we're going to have an
eternal story, we certainly don't want to run into those two."
     Giggling, they continued exploring their new world.
