Well, I finally have the third part in my ongoing crossover fic. Due to 
my mail server problems I couldn't get it out sooner.

Life Isn't A Highway, It's A Dirt Road.
Part Three

WAYLON JENNINGS: Now the Dukes are in a lot of trouble 'cause those two 
lady bounty hunters from Chicago really mean buisness. 

"Why'd you send them two bounty hunter after the Dukes?" complained 
Rosco "I'm the sheriff 'round these parts and I can catch those Dukes 
myself." 
	"You?" grumbled Boss "You couldn't catch a cold."
	"Dgooh! I bet I can catch them before them bounty hunters do."
	"Oh, yeah! Well, you catch those Dukes and you can keep your job."
Rosco rambled his usual sayings, the meanings of which only he knows, 
then walked out to his patrol car. 

Rally Vincent had parked her car on a ridge and was watching the 
approaching General Lee through binoculars. The plan was to shoot out 
one of they're tires. 

WALON JENNINGS: Now those two are planning on shooting at the General 
Lee. Now that's just plain mean. 

Rosco P. Coltrane's patrol car zoomed about on the unpaved counrty roads
of Hazzard. 
	Rosco picked up the CB mike.
"Enos!" he said "This here's your superior officer, Roshcoooo P. 
Coltrane. Come back. 
	
	Enos was parked out in one of Hazzards speed traps.
	"This is deputy Enos. What can I do for ya, sherrif? heehe"

	"Enos, you dipstick, where are you?" shouted Rosco.

	"Well, I'm on Pine Ridge right where you told me to be."
	
	"Well listen you just get out there and find them Dukes, you hear me?"

	"Uh, yessir sherrif." And Enos drove off.

WAYLON JENNINGS: Now while Enos and Rosco were looking for the Dukes 
those two city ladies had already found them. 

There was a loud crack as Rally pulled the trigger on the sniper rifle 
she had set up. A split second later the General Lee swerved crazily off
the road. 
	"Nice shot!" said May.
"We'd better get down there before they can change that tire." said 
Rally. 
	"Well, that shouldn't be too hard."

WAYLON JENNINGS: Now obviously that girl doesn't know the Dukes very 
well. Their best time for changing a tire is fifty-six seconds. 

Bo and Luke talked while they tried to change the tire in record speed. 
	"Jeez." said Bo "Now who d'you think was shootin' at us?"
"I don't know." said Luke "But I'm not about to stick around to find 
out." 

Rally's car sped down the road. Driving down the ridge would have 
probably damaged the car. They probably had a few minutes to get there 
anyway. After all how fast could someone change a tire? 

Rosco spotted Rally's Cobra several yards ahead of his patrol car. He 
chuckled. "It's hot pursuit! I love it, I love it!"e picked up the CB 
"Enos! This is Rosco, get down to Oak Tree Road on the double." 

	"I'm on it, sherrif." said Enos cheerfully.

Bo and Luke had just finished changing the tire and getting ready to 
drive off when the sound of engines started to echo around them. 
	"I guess we're gonna find out after all, huh?" said Bo.
	"Just shut up and let's get out of here." yelled Luke.
	The General Lee roared down the road.

Rally just managed to catch a glimpse of the General Lee as it started 
down the road. 
"That's impossible!" she said "How could they change that tire so fast."
	"Hey, Rally." said May "Why on earth is that sherrif following us?"
	"Who knows, but we can't lose that car."

	Enos car came off of a side road and pulled in right behind Rosco's.

"Great." mumbled Bo "It's those two we saw earlier and they've got Rosco
and Enos with 'em." 
	"Well what d'you suppose they're do worked up about?" asked Luke.
	"Well, right now we'd better just lose them."

The General sped down a small road towards a river followed by the other
three cars. 
"Hang on!" shouted Bo. The car hit a dip in the road causing it to jump 
over to the other side. 
"What do they think that thing is? A plane?" said Rally. Just then, 
before she could think, Rally's car hit the dip sending the car flying 
to the other side and barely missing a tree as it skided over to the 
side of the road. 
"Well, whatever those Dukes can do Roshcooo P. Coltrane can do better" 
said Rosco just seconds before his car drove right into the river. Enos 
slammed on the brakes and stopped just inches from the water. He got out
the car. 
	"Are you all right, sherrif?" he asked.
	"Enos, you dipstick get me out of here!" sputtered Rosco.

	"I guess we lost 'em, huh?" said May.
Rally sighed. "Well, let's go back into town and talk to the 
commisioner." 

	"Looks like we lost 'em." said Luke.
"I'm beginning to think Boss Hogg's got something to do with this." said
Bo 
	"I think you're right. We'd better get back into town fast."
	The General Lee sped down the road.

WAYLON JENNINGS: And they'll probably get there just when those two city
girls get there. If it wasn't for bad luck the Dukes wouldn't have any 
luck at all.
