Hey gang,
Sorry for the delays in any of my fics and in anybodies drawing. I had
hoped to have Hidden Talents 7,8 and Ranma/X-Men pt4. on the ner by bow but
something came up. All this stuff will be there by Monday evening, on my
honor and my life! Wish me luck guys, it's 5:20 in the morning and I'm
about to leave for a tournament in Dallas. I'm going to probably get my Tae
Kwon Doe butt kicked.

  Good luck.

Does anyone on the FFML practice kempo? Is it in the Ranma manga that
the Anything Goes style is based on kempo? If so, why would Takahashi-sama
use kempo as the foundation for Ranma's fighting style? How would the
other Ranmaverse martial artists be classified)? Which martial arts, if
any, do their varied fighting styles resemble? (Obviously, Kuno uses kendo).

Okay...this I SORTA know about...

Shorinji kempo isn't really a martial art...it is officially a RELIGION
I believe. But in terms of martial arts...it is the most free. Correct
me if I am wrong, but I believe that kempo is the only art which
actually
has stances which are squatting and kneeling; not present in other arts.
Well...I guess the only real way I can justify the use of kempo as a
basis
is in comparision to other arts: karate is too cumbersome, and also to
all encompassing...judo is...too much sport...uhm...it's more
action/reaction
than other arts...man...I'm not as qualified to post a reply as I
though! ^_^;;
Oh...and kempo is, although Japanese, derived mostly from Chinese
fighting
methods...Shorinji is "Shaolin temple fighting" I believe.

Oh well...I HOPE this SORTA helps...
