It doesn't necessarily follow that evil is truly conserved
just because attempts to truly eliminate absolutely all
evil create a backlash.
Besides, you don't have to look at it as a conservation thing, think
of it rather as a world where evil continues to come into existance, but
before it can actually manifest itself tangibly, it gets absorbed by Queen
Serenity. Thus it's not evil being conserved so much as evil continuing to
come into existance but being prevented from manifesting itself so that it
instead pools in one place and becomes incredibly dangerous.

Heh. With all this good-and-evil talk going on, I may as well talk about
the philosophy I somehow ended up mapping out for my writing:

One of the metaphysical philosophies that tends to form the basis
for a deal of my writing is that NOTHING in the universe is totally good or
totally
evil. Everything in the physical universe is the result of a COMBINATION of
a plane of pure good (basically Heaven) and a plane of pure evil (basically
Hell), where there HAS NEVER BEEN any of the opposing force. If somebody
manages to purge all of one or the other from their being (an exceptionally
rare event), they then become a part of one of these planes (if I ever get
around to writing "Aurum War" (yeah, right), you'll see more about this).
Even somebody like Neo-Queen Serenity would have some evil as a part of
herself, (not much, but some), and there's no way to stop it from
encroaching on an area. You just have to have the willpower to dilute it.

Sorry for the SPAM, but this really got me thinking.

BTW, I'm somewhat surprised that nobody has brought the "Serenity is
Love Personified" theory into discussions about either "The Price of Heaven"
or "I'm Here to Help" yet, especially since I believe it's what
Takeuchi-sensei intended her to be.
