the demons to escape.  It came here and took a magical amulet
which allows it to travel between timelines."

This explanation seemed way too quick and summary for something that's a
major plot point (maybe THE major plot point). I think it would read
better if you expanded this part somewhat.

Other than that, I'm really enjoying this series. The possible futures
are very imaginative and the second-generation characters are all
interesting. Looking forward to reading more.
