I would like to chime in on this one before Tybalt declares it a dead thread.
 I have had people send me compressed attachments.  AOL, for the most part,
is able to handle attachments and MIMEd files, but its the compressed
attachments where I have the most problems.  (I've lost more fanfics that
way.)
