For anyone who hasn't seen Nadia:

- The Light of God is fired from the Tower of Babel. It bounces off a
  sattilite, and destroys wherever it hits. 
- They used the same dialog that was used in the the Positron rifle 
  sequence. (That's the first part of the fic.) 
- And the two look similar, although the ToB is more powerful and more 
  efficient.

Yes and No, wait and see. The fic isn't about th Positron Rifle or the
Tower of Babel. It's quite a bit about Gendou, Nemo, and Kihl, and mostly
about the various Children figuring out what's going on.
