Couldn't they just translocate there?
Translocation is one of the noisiest and next to creation one of the hardest things to do. That's why Polgara didn't just teleport to places in the books. 
Hmmmm.  If the Eddings bunch can 'hear' it when the Nerimians do stuff, 
shouldn't the Nerimians be 'hearing' something when they shapechange to 
wolves?
Shapeshifting is almost undetectable unless you are specifically looking for it.
  
Why haven't they just gone ahead and language zapped the others?  I 
don't understand the reason for the delay.
Given that doing Nabiki gave both her and Poledra severe almost incompasitating headaches I can't think of a reason not to give everybody one or why they would want to wait and see if they can think of a less painful way.

Actually it is to a large extent a friend of mine was in Italy for a while and when he returned his odor was noticeably changed. I have been told since that this is common if you live on native foods for several months, your odor will change to that of a native.

Actually only when she is very angry, In a couple of the mangas and one of the animes Shampoo won in a straight strength contest ( arm wrestling)
