TekkaKnight WarHammer Presents

The Machine's Blessing:

Chapter 1:
The Long Lost Loved One

A Teknoman/Oh My Goddeess Crossover
Written by Christian Clark

Time: 7:45 p.m. September 25, 2016
Place: Atarashi Nekomi Tech Raceway

Keichi ran as hard as he could to his sister's trailer. He couldn't
believe that Megumi had just spun out like at on the final turn of the
race. It had been a hard day and it was almost over. The Morisato
siblings had very impressive showings throughout the whole day, until
the final race for Megumi occurred. Before it started, he had noticed
that she seemed preoccupied with something, but he couldn't tell what.

He was just a few more feet from Megumi's trailer when several erratic
spiritual vibrations nearly threw him off his feet. Something was very
wrong. He threw open the door to see someone he had not seen in years.
It was Mara! And she appeared to have been in a struggle with Megumi,
but from the looks of it, the demoness wasn't doing too well.

With her hands on Megumi wrists, Mara tried her very best to free
herself from the grip of the angry Goddess of Power. The younger
Morisato had her palm latched to Mara's forehead and was not letting go.
Also, the holy ward planted on Mara's back had something to say for
Mara's lack of strength.

"Megumi!" Keichi screamed, seeing his sister in this situation. She
turned to her brother and he gasped at what he saw. The same two white
marks that usually adorned Mara's forehead was now on Megumi's! Seeing
him there made the present scowl on her face vanish.

"Oniichan." She whispered, then she closed her eyes and whispered,
"Gomen nasai." By then, the two white marks had totally imprinted
themselves completely on her forehead and Mara collapsed. Megumi's form
began to distort as the powers of both god and demon became unstable in
her body. Before Keichi could try and save her, the fire caught a gas
main.

Seconds later, an explosion threw him back and out of the trailer.
Utterly destroying the trailer and the two people in it. He cried his
sister's name one last time into the night as he realized the
ramifications of what happened. Megumi was gone. Forever.

	But why?

*************************************************

Time: February 20, 2100
Place: Remnants of San Francisco, California.

In the air, a single blue light flew among the ruined buildings and
homes of what used to be the place where the person within the light was
born.

Ringo Richards, in the form of Teknos Halberd, took a long look at
everything below him. Many times he wished to be back in the older days.
To his childhood, his best friends Bobby and Ace, and the big family
reunions on his father's side. And most importantly, to get away from
the painful memories of seeing the first woman he ever cared for die in
front of him while he could do nothing.

Several months back, he had grown to care for the doomed sister of his
friend Ness Carter. Shannon, or Shara as her nickname went. Little by
little, she died and no matter what they did, her body continued to
betray her. It was all the fault of a being that was now long dead. Yet,
his legacy continued in the form of two more of his last two and most
powerful warriors. Lance and Rapier.

Noticing a particular house in the distance, he altered his course and
flew to the small estate on the edge of the once vibrant town. Landing
outside of the gate, he stared at the home that he lived in at one time.

In a blue haze of light, a man stepped in the armored knight's place.
Standing at about six and a half feet, Ringo Richards brushed his
growing dusty yellow hair out of his face. He straightened out the rough
spots on his tunic, made by the healer Salian, and stepped through the
handing broken gate. He recalled that this fabric, that had no way to be
pronounced yet by human language yet, was the only thing that prevented
him from going around in the buff whenever he needed to get somewhere
fast. He mentally slapped himself. No one lived here anymore, there was
no need to make yourself presentable.

He remembered when the war with the Lahdam had gotten into its fourth
month. San Francisco was hit and his parents were among the many
casualties listed. His only brother and sister were on the Space Ring
when they attacked. Erik and Julia Richards died for no reason what so
ever.

He tried so hard to keep the heartache inside. Trying his best to be
strong for his beloved family. But after all this time, he couldn't hold
back anymore. Walking through the front doors, he let the flood of happy
memories return to his mind. Every Christmas, his father's two sisters
and one brother would bring their families and they would celebrate the
holidays.

All of those cousins brought their lives with them to his home and he
enjoyed playing a big brother to the younger ones. They weren't exactly
the perfect family, oh they were far from it. But where it counted was
where he did his best.

In his old bedroom, he knelt against the wall beside the window and
allowed his tears to come out at last. He never wanted to say anything
to anyone, but he could understand how Slade felt. He was alone, again.
He kept all that pain inside when he found that his siblings died and
when he got the reports of his parents losing their lives as well. His
arms muffled the sound of his sobs as he let go of all the pain.

Why was he even here? Why was he killing himself over memories of the
past? It was because he couldn't let go of the pain. He wanted to
desperately, but couldn't.

He then noticed a shadow pass through the hallway. He darted out to the
hall to see it empty. Yet, he wasn't fooled. He knew there was someone
else here.

"Hello? Anyone there?" he cried to the empty home. But there was none
to reply as he continued to search the home for a possible survivor. He
noticed more of that same shadow moving about the house. With the way it
moved, he figured that it was leading him somewhere. Even if it was a
trap, he had to find out who it was. It might be Lance or Rapier for all
he knew.

He entered the entryway to the front and dashed to the front door. The
shadow leaped to the outside and like a dog following a fox, he jumped
after it. Panting, he looked everywhere in sight to see no one. Giving
up, he made a walk to the front gate, until he heard a voice say above
him,

"Well, that was fun. What other games can we play?"

He looked up to see that same familiar woman from his childhood appear.
Leaning the same way in the same tree, smiling at him. This time, he
noticed several things that made her look very different. There was a
thin, dark green trapezoid, between a pair of white, thin lines that
inverted on her forehead.
Other than that, she couldn't be told apart from any other person.

Regaining his composure, he replied coyly, trying to mask the fact that
he'd been mourning. "Well, why not hide and seek. Only this time, I hide
and you seek. Not the other way around, like we did with follow the
leader."

She smiled, sat on the branch, fell backward, only to flip off the
branch, and onto the ground with hardly a sound. She turned to him and
said simply, "It was fun, I'll admit. But I've got to go now. We'll meet
again." Her voice slightly suggested that she didn't want to say that,
but had no choice.

With that, she turned around and small crackles of electricity began to
form around her body. All of a sudden, a large bolt of lightening took
her place and surged into one of the few open circuits on the towers.

He tried to follow her but the sudden change threw him backward into
the gate of his home. When he opened his eyes, only questions arose. Who
was that? Why did she seem so familiar? How did she change like that? A
gentle breeze blew across his body as he tried to comprehend what
happened.

Yet, he knew that there were other things to tending. Soon, a bright
blue aura formed around him, the area around it exploded, and the light
carrying him within flew off in his search again.

*************************************************

That evening, Ringo walked down to the central computer room to where
he might be able to find his answers. As the door slid open, he beheld
the large computer in the back of the room. In front of it, a half a
human figure suspended by small steel girders, wires of all kinds of
colors, and a crane that seemed to allow the half figure access to
anywhere in the room.

"Hey Nuku nuku." He said to the robotic seeming figure. As she turned,
Atsuko Natsume greeted her friend with a smile.

A few weeks after the incident with the second type teknosuit, Merril
had gotten her working again. It was a little tense for a while, not
everyone was able to accept the fact she was an android just yet. But
with all things, they come as normal with time. Merril and Atsuko had
requested Jamison that she hook up to his central computer. Jamison had
no qualm, but requested that he help with the programming. Recently, she
had been able to be the Space Knights chief hacker to keep an eye out on
some Galt wanna-be that popped up out of nowhere and had been a very
useful asset to the group.

"Say, I need help. I need to look for someone."

"Ok, what does this person look like?" she asked. As he tried his best
to describe the mystery woman that he met earlier that day, Nuku only
rolled her eyes. Somehow, this seemed so typical of him from what she
heard.

About a minute later, the results of the search came up on the screen.
Nothing. Ringo then almost went hysterical saying that he did see this
woman, yet decided to keep out the detail about her departure.

Nuku held her head with a hand that was supported by her other hand as
she deliberated. If what Ringo was saying was true, maybe they were
doing the right thing, only they weren't using the correct mode of
search.

She went over all the databases of probable people this might have been.
Then, a stray thought struck, she knew this mystery woman sounded rather
familiar, but the chances of it being the one she had in mind were VERY
minute. In fact, she'd been dead for the past 84 years.

She shrugged and spoke quietly, "When all possible leads become wrong,
whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth." And she
brought up a last known picture. "Hey, Ringo. Is this your woman?" Ringo
turned to the screen and then nodded.

	"Yep. That's her."

"It must have been a hallucination then."

"Why? I saw her there and all."

"Well, according to records this is Megumi Morisato. Born about 1976.
Went to school in Osaka. Went to Nekomi Tech for about a few years as a
mechanics major until the Second Impact occurred. When things were
starting to get organized, she emerged as the first female to win the
World Wide Nascar for about 3 years straight. Until she lost it to
Tashya Katoshinsky in '08. She and her brother Keichi were both highly
distinguished racers for a long time. Until about '16 where she was
apparently killed in a gas fire."

"But how? I mean she was right there in front of me!"

"Well. It could have been a ghost for all I know. But from all that I
know, she's as dead as the 2 billion people were killed in the Second
Impact." She started to grin as she joked, "Or are you starting to chase
after little old ladies now, Ringo?"

"Whatever." He said as the door opened to let him out. He heard Nuku
scream 'you're welcome' from behind him as he went back to his room.
Closing the door, he plopped on his bed and stared at the ceiling above.
He knew that he saw this woman. In fact, now he was certain that he saw
her before somewhere.

	But where?

End of Chapter 1
[Warhammer comes out.]
WH: No rest for the weary huh? I thought as much. Well, it's time for
back story. This is a sequel of sorts to another OMG fanfic that I
doubt I'll ever finish. On the fact being that I found no way to finish
it where I last worked on it.

Now for Ringo's story, check out 'Shara's Last Gift' in either the Save
Teknoman Archive or my newly put up 'Legacy of the Teknos' which is
still in the beginning stages. Soon enough, it will be organized and all
will be well with those who wish to read more stories about Teknoman
crossovers. At http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Garden/4853/index.html

Anyway, when Mara was trying to torment Keichi a bit, a missed shot
sent Keichi into the critical condition. Once Bell got word of this, she
went crazy and killed Mara. Of course, since it was accidental, Bell was
then had her license suspended.

Also, since Kami-sama needed to people to fill in positions for gods
that were going to retire, he needed Keichi and his sister to help
protect Belldandy. Until they were to be reassigned as different gods.
Also, this way, k1 and Bell could be together, regardless of how long
time passes.

Keichi, the god of protection and Megumi, goddess of power. Hence forth
their travel mediums being locks of any kind and anywhere where
electricity is conducted.

Inevitably, Bell gets her license back and all seems to return to
normal. Save for the occasional attack from one of Mara's vengeance
driven friends. Then well, if I told you, you'd have a spoiler right
here. And we can't have that. Just as were starting this fic too. Until
the next chapter is finished.

[Warhammer returns to the light.]
