The Shi Shi Hokodan Ryoga uses now is not the
same as his old one--it's more akin to the Moko
Takabishiya; he just uses the same name for his
new attack. The way I have the dynamics of
ki-power set in my universe is that there is an
emotional trigger that fuels each person's ki;
onec the general personality of a person
changes, it becomes hard or impossible to use
prior moves that required a different type of
ki. This will be made noticable in the next fic
when it is revealed (WARNING: SPOILER ALERT)
that Ranko can no longer use the Moko
Takabishiya or the Hiryu Shoten Ha.
Hmm... you're going to have to do a lot of explaining to justify this one I
think. Within the manga, Ranma uses both the Shi Shi Hokodan and the Moko
Takabisha. The Moko Takabisha is stronger however because his confidence is
stronger than his depression (for the Shi Shi Hokodan) so I suppose that
supports your idea, but it *is* possible for him to use either move. As for
the Hiryu Shoten Ha, that move uses your *opponent's* ki, not your own to
generate the whirlwind, so why would a change in yourself make you unable
to use it? Can Ranko no longer maintain her cool in a fight? That's gonna
make her vulnerable to a number of other special moves as well.
I'm looking forward to reading your explanation to this.
