Prologue


	Ranma Saotome, deity of change and rebirth walked slowly through a pair
of pale ash doors into a well lit and beutifuly decorated office.  The
greens and browns that spread through the room and plants rising from
the cool ground gave the impression of being in an ancient forest. The
sole thing aside from the doors that would be out of place was the desk
at the far end of the room, with an elegantly dressed man behind it, his
form radiating a calming yet commanding preasence.  

	Timidly Ranma spoke.  "Sir, I'm Ranma I was told you wanted to see me."

	Smiling Kami spoke his voice carried a soothing tone, ""It's good to
meet you in person Ranma.  I thought you might have a few questions, so
I called you here so we could answer as many as possible. 
Before you ask thoughGenma is still your father and you still have two
official fiances, that have found you, and thirty more trying to find
you if my records are up to date.  As for Shampoo she'll have to find a
different husband, after all you were already claimed under an arranged
marraige, and that takes presidence under their laws.  You still have to
deal with all the problems caused by your father, and his master.  Then
again you have your mother, and her sisters to help.  On Nodoka, well
she is your surrogate mother, but Urd is your real mother.  Oh, if there
is anything you want to say go ahead."

	"Well sir you already know what happened, my so called family and
friends along with the host of strangers tried killing, raping,
seducing, or beeting me to a bloody pulp.  I just can't take to much
more of that I mean having to sort Pops debts is bad enough, but
everyone blame all of their problems on me, except maybe Tarou.  Then he
wanted me pulped so he could get a new name."

	"Well.... Ranma, I know how you feel.  I get blamed for a lot to. 
People don't always make the right choices, and even if they do things
don't always turn out the way they planned.  They usually look for
someone to blame and I get the ticket. Then you know how that is.  As to
why you got your present job, you really cann blame me."

	"You?"

	"Remember when you saved Ryouga from drowning after he tried to blow
you to gory bits?"

	"But that trick won't work on a living body."

	"You didn't know that, but you still saved Ryouga's life. You could
have been killed or crippled but you still helped him.  That's just the
kind of thing I need in my Goddess of Change, and rebirth."

	"But I'm a guy!"

	Almost laugh Kami's form began to shift and with it his voice, as he
took the form of a woman.  "Ranma would you please drop that.  Yuo know
as well as I do that you accepted your curse, and besides that I'm not
just the father, I'm the mother to incase you hadn't thought of it
before now."
