This was a really cool idea, and the character similarities are close
enough to make it work. However, the [Maison Ikkoku] tag in the header,
along with some of the more obvious clues (the dog being named
"Tofu-san"), kind of telegraphed the ending for me. I think if you made
the ending more of a surprise, you could have something that could make
people fall out of their chairs. :)
