I have been reading the C&C of TOS 2.
In one post you stated that Ranko
will lose the ability to use some of her Chi
attacks because of the changes
in personality.
I can understand that she might pefer not to
use them
because of changes in her personality. They
might be become harder or
weaker for her to use but she should not lose
the ability to use them.
**Correct on that. When I said what I did, it
didn't come across the way I wanted it to. She
"can't" use them anymore because they're not as
effective--like Ranma using the original
Shi-shi-hokodan. An interesting note is that in
TOS (and its upcoming companion series), RYOGA
can't use the shi-shi-hokodan anymore. His
current SSH is a variant of Ranma's Moko
Takabishiya that simply retains the name of the
other attack.
Knowing Ranko (Ranma) she would develop new
attacks that would replace
them. If this happens then I believe she
would stop using the other attacks.
**Actually, she will, and has already. Note her
kaminariken in TOS1, which is an electrified
fireball and not the beam attack that Ranma's MT
is. Likewise, she will be developing new
attacks that complement her variant on the
Saotome AGMA kenpo.
In some cases (Ryoga, for example), the
characters have changed their own attacks and
the way they are triggered.
Hope this helps. If not, hope this confuses
less. If not that, then chalk it up as Anything
Goes Marital Arts Ad-Lib and enjoy the show.
