Hi all! I'm writing a Miyu/Ranma crossover, except I've only seen the four
anime episodes and I need more information.

Just about any kind of info will do. I'm including a snippet of the story
for ppl to read over and comment on. The story starts off fine, but the
scene with Happosai is going to placed later on in the story. I wanted to
write that scene so badly that I couldn't wait to get to it sequentially.

Anyway enough with my blabbing. Please send info and C&Cs to
abrown@imag.net as I do not subscribe to the mailing list (waaaaay to much
mail! :( ).

Anyway, here's what I've got so far.

All acknoledgements of copywrites to the appropriate ppl.

The young girl sighed. Staring up at the clock of Furinken High,
Miyu felt a surge of uncharacteristic depression. She was so tired. Tired
of searching, tired of fighting, tired of *living*. She was old, but not
in body. Her body was as young as the day she was born to her vampiric
heritage. The decay was in her soul.
She felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned an looked up into the
masked face of her servant and friend, Larva.
"I know, Larva," she said quietly. "The cycle of our lives will never
be complete until we send the last Shima back to the Dark. But sometimes..."
Her voice trailed off. She watched the students walk by, oblivious to
her's and Larva's presence. A surge of envy coursed through her. [They are
so lucky,] she though. [So lucky to have their normal lives. Living,
loving, even dying is a privlige they will never understand.]
"Oh Larva!" she cried. She buried herself in the deep folds of his
robe. "I want to be normal again! No Shima, no monsters, just a life like
everyone else has!"
He held her close, comforting her. His heart ached to see her this way
but he could not bring words to convey his feelings.
A few moments later she straightened and pulled away. "Well, I'm not
ever going to be normal again unless I face up to my responsibilities."
Miyu assumed an cheerful smile and walked down the street towards the
school.
Larva watched her leave, his thoughts as dark as hers. [How long?]
he wondered. [How long until the weight of her task crushes her?] He
turned, stepped back, and faded into the Otherworld.
     Thus the hunt began. Again.

Ranma Saotome nursed the back of his head. [Man, why did she have to
hit me so hard?] he complained to himself. [I did *try* to eat her food,
after all.] Akane had helped make breakfast this morning, and Ranma had
tried, after being...convinced by his father, to eat it. Unsurprisingly,
he was not very successful. He looked over to his fiance, who glared back
at him before burying her nose in a textbook. Ranma growled to himself and
began idly twirling his pencil on the tip of his finger, waiting for the
class to end. His attention was brought back into focus as Hinako-sensei
made an annoucement.
"Class, I'd like to introduce Furinken High's newest addition, Miyu
Kaowasaki."
Ranma forced himself not to stare. He knew that if Akane thought he
was eyeing a girl, he would receive a book in the side of his head. She
was definitly an odd one. Her brown hair was gathered into a bun set on the
right side of her head, with a tail which swept down over one shoulder. Her
face was soft, with a gentlness that seemed to be beyond her apparent age.
He watched as she bowed and introduced herself. Then he stiffened as
Hinako-sensei assigned her the desk behind him. [What is she trying to do?
Akane's sure to get mad now.] A glance to one side told him that Akane's
temper had not cooled in the slightest. He looked back at Miyu. She was
walking down the aisle, looking at him in the most peculiar way. Ranma
colored, beginning to feel like a side of beef being faced by a hungry
buyer.
[Now here's a cute one,] thought Miyu. [And a bit of a rebel, if the
lack of uniform is any indication. I think I'll enjoy the taste of this
one's blood.] She could feel most of the male student's eyes on her.
She smiled a small mischevious smile. [This is going to be fun!] When she
reached Ranma's desk, she bowed slightly and introduced herself.
"Hello, my name is Miyu. Miyu Kaowasaki."
Ranma gulped. "Err...Hi. Uh...I'm Ranma. Ranma Saotome." Miyu nodded
and went to her desk. All the eyes that had been focused on her were now
glaring at him. [Oh great! Another self-proclaimed fiance,] he thought.
Miyu could feel an intense gaze upon her even before she had finished
greeting Ranma. When she had seated herself, she looked in the direction
of the gaze.
Akane was glaring at Miyu, and if looks had been needles, then Miyu
would have been a pincushion. [Ahh, the competition.] She merely gave
Akane a sly smile and turned her attention to Hinako-sensei.
Akane sat and stared holes in Miyu's head. [How dare she!] Her gaze
swiveled to Ranma who was now again twirling his pencil. [And he's no better
than she is! It's obvious what she's trying to do and he didn't even tell
her that he was already engaged! Not that we had much choice, but still!]
Akane turned back to her notebook and began doodling several not so nice
things to call Ranma next time they fought. [I'll bet he'll just string her
along just like all the others.]

*    *    *

Happosai held up the bra to the light and sighed with contentment.
"Ahhhh! Clean as a whistle! Well my darling, there's a special place for
you in my collection." He place the bra on a shelf that held several dozen
exotic bra and panty designs. "There you go." He sighed. "I just wish
Ranma would come around and see the merits of bras and panties! It's so
frustrating to have a disciple that won't follow your orders!"
"I'm sure it is," replied Miyu from behind him.
Happosai spun around in surprise. "Well, if it isn't the girl who's
hunting all the Shinma down, Miyu. So, how goes the hunt."
Miyu shrugged nonchalantly. "Not bad, not that you'll care in a few
moments." She glanced over her shoulder and smiled as Larva materialized
behind Happosai. "Once I send you back to the Dark, no one will ever have
to worry about you again."
Happosai laughed. "Send me to the Dark? Ha! That's a good one Miyu.
Except there's one problem. I'm not one of the one's that escaped when you
ran that night. I've been free for hundreds of years."
Miyu examined her fingernails. "A likely story. And even if it is
true, I'm still returning you to the Dark. That's what we do, after all."
Happosai laughed again. "You just don't get it, do you girl? You'll
never complete your mission because there have *always* been Shinma free
upon the world. Every once and awhile a Shinma aquires enough power to
break away from the Dark and come here to feed upon humanity's weaknesses.
That's what happened to me. The Shinma who charged you with you task didn't
give you the opportunity to redeem yourself, they gave you a life sentence!
You'll never free your parents! You'll continue to hunt us for eternity,
or untill you can't stand it any longer and you kill yourself!"
Miyu's face clouded over with momentary doubt, but her expression
quickly hardened with determination. "Quit trying to save yourself. It
won't work. Do you know how many Shinma have tried to fast talk their way
out of being banished? I've heard it all, and anything you say won't change
my mind, Jei! Larva!"
A ball of fire appeared in Larva's hand and lightening arched around
the room, inscribing the Shinma's true name on the ceiling in red and blue
fire. Miyu smiled triumphantly.
     "Time to say goodbye, Shinma."
"Not just yet m'dear!" Happosai spun and threw his pipe at Larva.
Larva was unprepared for the attack, and the pipe hit him between the eyes.
He stumbled back, the fire in his hand an on the ceiling fading with his
loss of concentration.
