I posted the first eight parts of "Stranded" here a few days ago,
followed by the ninth part when I finished it, in the hope of getting
a little feedback; I thought I could expect quite a few comments since
the list was so high-traffic. I haven't heard much yet.
Comments, you want comments? Okay, you asked for it...
Very nicely written, superior prose. Good dialogue. Nicely plotted.
Very good interweaving of the two universes, eminently believable.
Looking forward to your conclusion.
Like your portrayals of everyone. While my own view on the third
generation Robotech characters might be a little different from yours, at
the same time they are consistent with the TV show.
Bad things? The Autobots got accepted by Scott & co. a little too easily,
I think. Also, while the Transformers and Robotech are two of my favorite
pieces of animation, you just had to choose the least interesting parts of
both. :) I don't know these Gen2 Autobots, and the third generation of
Robotech is my least favorite. Now if you had Skyfire meeting up with
Skull One, *then* you'd have my interest. :)
Liked the passing reference to Jazz, who is one of my favorite
Transformers. My absolute favorite is probably Soundwave, whose character
I find fascinating.
Anyway, let me repeat: your prose it technically superior, your dialogue
is quite good, and the plot well executed. The story itself doesn't
interest me as much as it could, but that's just my own personal
predilections.
