...In a darkened corner of the universe, lies a small planet. And
on this planet....<SQUEEEEPPPPPPP>
Carter: What the hell was that?
Brian: Probally just leakage from the Dramatics bin.
Natsume: So, are we reviewing another Warhammer fic?
Brian: Yep
Natsume: Okay then...<to the projection booth> Roll it!

Part 4:
Given a Chance
Carter: What the heck?? Part 4??
Natsume: Why is it we always get going in the middle?
Brian: Part of the code, I guess.
A crossover of Teknoman and Oh My Goddess!
Written by Christian Clark
Carter: <O.O> Tekno...and...
Natsume: Oh My Goddess??
Brian: <hands the two pilots information packets> This should help.
Megumi's grasp on Mara nearly failed as the rest of the demon's power
flooded her person. It was almost too much to bear.
That was when she heard the door open and saw her brother there. She
hoped that he never would have to see this. Now it was too late. She had
gotten too far to fail now.
She wanted Keiichi to be happy, without having to worry about Mara
messing things up. True; it might as well terminate her life, but for
her brother, she would go to this ridiculous extreme.
Also, she wanted to get back at Mara so badly for being possessed.
Megumi felt like she had been raped-she felt so used. Either way, she
wanted to get back at Mara in such a way that the demoness wouldn't live
to brag about it. If Mara wasn't stopped, who knew what else she would
have done? Megumi was going to make sure she that didn't happen.
She said her farewell to Keiichi, wondering if she'll ever see him
again. Yet, she severely doubted it. Because there has been no record of
half demon/god beings that ever lived to tell the tale.
For her last moment in normal space, she thought of the Norn sisters
and hoped that life would treat them better than it did her.
Carter: Since when was Megumi a goddess?
Natsume: <reading info packet> Since this fic idea, I guess.
Then, she saw everything like it was normal. Yet she could neither see
Keiichi, Mara, or anyone else. It was like she was alone in the whole
world. She could barely make out the distortions of her brother, the
Norns, and a few other spirits, but that was it. She was alone.
For the next half century, she wandered about the strange dimension
that she now lived in. Every color seemed pale, even the sun seemed to
suffer from thisà this distortion.
Carter: A mirror dimension?
Natsume: Probally.
Sailor Mercury: The distortions caused by the flucations of the
demon power and her own goddess power served to throw Megumi into a
"pocket dimension of sorts, unconnected with our own. Simple enough to
understand.
Carter, Natsume, Brian: ......... <facefault>
Several years later, she could feel a disturbance. She traveled from
Japan to America where she felt the source. She didn't expect it to be a
nine-year-old boy with blond hair, a big heart, and an open mind. It
turned out that he could see her without any effort on her part to go
back into the home dimension.
She figured that it must have been the same reason that Belldandy came
to her brother. He must have been a Friend of Nature.
Carter: Okay, now I'm a little confused on this "Friend of
Nature" bit.
*************************************************
The next several days that passed were almost torture to Ringo. Even
though he was commended for beating Lance, it didn't seem that great to
him. Also, Tina had been watching him like a hawk, which was beginning
to irritate him to no end.
Natsume: Tina...irritating??
Brian: Look near the end of the last chapter.
C&N: <flipping pages> Oh.
He wanted to go back to his home and see if Megumi was still there, but
a training exercise brought up by either Salian or Tina and would drain
him to the point where he couldn't go even if he wanted to.
This same routine of trying and failing to find Megumi continued until
he could stand it no more.
Walking to the exit, he heard footsteps. He didn't really need to guess
who it was, because he already knew. "Tina, would you mind leaving me
alone! I'm going somewhere to think."
Surely enough, she came out of the dark and sneered, "Or is it to look
for your girlfriend maybe?"
Carter: Yep. Bitch mode is definitely on for this girl.
Natsume: And the switch broke.
He frowned at her and turned away, not even bothering to listen to her
continue. "You shouldn't bother Ringo! Women like that don't exist. In
fact, she's not even human, just let her be!"
Carter: And your point is?
His frown got even deeper as he stomped to the entryway to the outside.
He ignored any further comments from her as a blue glow went about his
body. He flew upward and away from the Command Centerà and to San
Francisco.
<MEGA-SNIP>
But there was something else too. Every time he saw her, he wanted to
know everything about her. Who she really was, what she liked, didn't
like, and everything in between. He got all the information about her
from the information search provided by Atusko.
Natsume: Hey! I'm still around! :-)
Brian: Not exactly. <point to a certain page>
Natsume: WARHAMMER!!! <battle aura forms>
It could have been the eyes, her gentle voice, or her attitude of
compassion for him. He found himself wanting to see her more with every
visit. It was strange to say the least. He always fancied himself as a
lady's man and womanizer, yet never could gather the guts to actually
make good his 'professions'.
Now, he couldn't help but feel depressed. Megumi was gone, and now
there was most likely no way to find her.
He heard a pair of footsteps to his left and turned to see a man about
fifty-five years of age walking to his boulder, whistling all the while.
What made Ringo's eyes widen was that he was decked out in a white
tuxedo, almost as if he was going to a wedding.
"Hey there!" he said to the man.
The older man looked up and smiled. "Hey kid! What's up?"
"We'llà I am." They both snickered. "What are you doing out here?"
"Well, I came to say good-bye to this place. Even though it was a
decent crutch, I'm moving on. Can't you tell kid? I'm getting married
today! How do I look?"
Ringo smiled and said with a slightest bit of sarcasm, "Hubba hubba,"
blinked, "At your age?"
The older man frowned, "Don't start with me kid. You're not the first.
This wonderful woman that I've known for most of my life and I are
finally taking another chance together. Strange thing love is, don't you
think?"
Ringo snorted and looked back to the ocean, "You got that right. Yet,
it doesn't matter to me anymore."
The old man blinked with surprise and asked, "Wait, what do you mean it
doesn't matter anymore? How can it not matter? Is it about a girl?"
Ringo nodded. "But there's nothing if she's not there. She made it
real. She made it real and now she's gone."
The man hopped on the rock beside him, "So find her! Bring her back!"
Without caring, he retorted, "Love dies, old man."
The old man frowned and shook his head, "No. No, no, not by itself.
*We*, we kill it. Now, if you give up, you'll be sitting on this rock
thirty years from now, just like I was."
The frown vanished and the old man put on a sympathetic look, "I know
how you feel kid, I felt the same way once, I did. But I didn't know how
important love was. Let me tell you something, somehow somewhere there's
a way to get to her. If she got here, then there's a way to get there.
Believe me kid. It's up to you."
With that, the old man walked away and into the distance. All the
while, his words were soaking into Ringo's head. Striking the truth on
more than one occasion. Ringo looked in the direction the man went, but
found him gone. As if he vanished into thin air.
As Ringo hopped off the rock, he began to walk back to the deserted
town. All the while wondering how to sort out his feelings, in an
attempt to make any sense. He couldn't even tell if he actually cared
enough about Megumi to go after her. Confusion seemed to be the only
state of mind he was in.
It all seemed like some confusing romance novel where nobody knows who
and what they really are.
Time passed slowly as the teknos warrior walked among the rubble and
back to his home. Ignoring the past destruction about him and focusing
on the inner struggle within. Every several steps, he could hear the old
man's words ring in his head again. The scary part was that with every
new mention, the answer to the questions about her became 'yes'.
An explosion far off caught his attention and broke his concentration.
Changing into a sphere of blue light, he flew as fast as his power could
take him to the source.
Carter: You know, this seems almost familiar somehow...
Natsume: Like a movie?
Brian: Who knows?
<MEGA-SNIP>
"Very well then, you continue to monitor the battle and see what else
might be going on."
"Yes sir!" With that, her image faded out. He turned to the
communication panel which contained the frequencies for the Space Knight
Teknos.
"Tina. Can you hear me?"
"Yes sir."
"There seems to be a disturbance in the old San Francisco area. Ringo's
already there, but I want you to take another with you and investigate."
Brian: There is a disturbance....in the For...
Carter: <hefts mallet> Don't say it.
Brian: eep.
"Understood sir, Scythe out."
At Tina's position in the remnants of Denver, Colorado, she turned to
the other two Earthen Teknos, Ranma and Akane Saotome. "I just got word
from the commander that there's a skirmish on the San Francisco area.
Akane, you continue the search and Ranma, you're with me."
Both of them blinked, but didn't question her. Ranma turned to his wife
and said, "Take care of yourself, ok?" She smiled and nodded.
"You too." There wasn't that many occasions where they were apart, but
that time was taken to implicitly trust each other.
All three: Awwww......
"Alright! Alright! Come on Bo, we need to get going!" Tina growled,
changing her form and blasting off into the sky, with Ranma close behind
en route to San Francisco.
Carter: Sheesh, someone sure know how to ruin a good scene.
*************************************************
Amid the rubble of a destroyed shopping mall, hunters had caught their
prey.
"LET ME GO!" Megumi screamed, trying to free herself from the black and
red colored cords that held her tight. Her captors, most demons from the
past and several different religious origins, had found her and placed a
demon ward on her back to make sure she wouldn't escape. The only one
that seemed to only be watching, was apparently the leader of them.
Natsume: As they say, the guano is about to hit the fan.
Also, it seemed that from what Megumi remembered of records in
Yrrgdrasl, the one in charge seemed to be Lillith, the Mother of Demons.
Dressed in a simple black and red robe, she watched the proceedings with
an impassive face as the wind caressed her amethyst colored hair.
Carter: The same Lillth that got free in Seraphim's Judgement?
Natsume: Geuss we know where she's been.
Megumi heard the Mother demoness speak, "You were harder to find that I
first figured. And just when I was about to give up, you just happen to
summon a berserker spirit and an earth spirit as well. Quite amazing
really." She said with an air of elegance and nobility about her.
Carter: As far as a demon can show.
"You let me go and I'll show you something amazing. Me ripping you
apart!" Megumi snarled.
Lillith didn't seemed fazed at all, instead, she pointed her hand to
the ground below her and from each finger a ray of light appeared. The
lines all moved about the ground, creating a pentagon and several other
runes of transport. Taking a final look at Megumi, she whispered loud
enough for the demon/goddess to hear.
"I WILL have my daughter back."
All three: *BOING??* <facefault>
<SNIP>
There in the closing distance; was Teknos Halberd, enraged at seeing
Megumi abducted by those that didn't even seem human.
Carter: And he should know.
Knowing the reason why, she simply waved a hand and a wind with the
strength of the tornado forced him into the ground. She walked up to his
pinned body, knelt beside him, and took his face gently with her hands;
seeing the face and man within.
"Hmm, so you're the one who she was working with. I must be grateful,
for without you, I couldn't be able to get my daughter back." Just
before she left, she caressed the front of his helmet and whispered, not
even trying to hide the sultry undertone in her voice, "Should we ever
meet again, I will make sure to repay you in a more 'satisfying' way."
All three: <sweatdrop>
If Ringo could, he'd spit in her face.
Standing up, Lillith entered the tower of black light and returned to
her home. Just as the last of the hole, the pentagram, and runes
vanished, the bonds that held him relinquished their hold on him.
Crawling to where everything else was, he looked all about, not even
know what exactly happened. Yet, all that mattered now was, she was
gone. Gone to the point where he could never find her again.
"Hey, Ringo!" cried a familiar voice. He turned to see both Teknos
Scythe and Bo emerge from the blue haze that they arrived in.
Carter: Ah, yes, always arriving just in the nick of time.
"Halberd, we got reports of activity going on. Wanna fill us in?"
Scythe said with no mind towards pleasantries.
Ringo just shrugged his shoulders. "I wish I could. Yet, it seems too
fantastic, even I don't believe it."
Suddenly, a shard of a broken mirror began to glow brightly. And from
the shard, a tiny woman crawled through and expanded to the size of a
normal one, all the while saying, "Then, if it is not too much trouble,
allow me to."
All three: <facefault (again)>
Seeing a girl appear from a mirror shard, scared both Halberd and Bo to
the point where they both jumped back. Scythe, although unmoving, was
shocked at the sudden appearance of another stranger.
Carter: <LOL> Heh, I don't see why.
The woman was dressed in what appeared to be a blue, white, and gold
dress. Her ash-yellow tied up in a ponytail starting from the back of
her head, and marks adorning her forehead and areas just below the
corners of her eyes.
"What occurred here was a transposition of energies, allowing a gate to
be created to go from one place to another." She said with a pleasant
air.
All three: Huh??
Sailor Mercury: What she said.
Bo stammered, "Wà whà whàwho are you?"
The woman blinked and then looked surprised, "Oh my, where have my
manners gone?"" she bowed to them both formally, "I am Belldandy. Norn
Sister of the Present. Goddess First Class, Unlimited License."
Brian: Belldandy...forgetting her manners?
Carter: That's one for the record books.
As the second figure emerged from the small tv, she continued, "Now,
after all this time, we have gotten so close to getting her back.
Keii-chan will be overjoyed." She looked to the smaller girl, and said
to the Teknos warriors, "This is my sister, Skuld. Norn Sister of the
Future. Goddess Second Class, Probationary Unlimited License."
Carter: Heh. Looks like Skuld got a promotion.
"Sister." The girl named Skuld said with a low growl, "You know I don't
like being referred like that. I am more than capable of introducing
myself."
From the small tv, a figure of light emerged and then formed to a what
appeared to be a woman in her mid twenties. What she wore made Tina hate
her immediately. Even if it was battle armor, it was totally indecent.
Unlike the other two, she had a more dark bronze skin tone and lighter
blue markers on her face and white ash colored hair.
Carter: <goggles> THAT'S battle armor??
Skuld answered immediately instead of Belldandy. "And here we have Urd,
Norn Sister of the Past, a poor excuse for a Cupid of Love, and Second
Class Goddess with a Probationary Limited License.
Natusme: Yep, same old Skuld.
From the perspectives of the three Teknos, it appeared Urd didn't like
being insulted about her position. They were about begin fighting when
another figure emerged, only it was from a lock.
He appeared to be in his mid-twenties, dressed in armor that fit over
his white and blue tunic and pants. Yet, what made him stand out most,
was his crystal gauntlet on his left wrist. The mark on his forehead was
a light red, as was the marks on his cheeks. Hanging behind his head was
a short ponytail that fluttered in the breeze.
Stepping past her sisters, Belldandy said as she walked behind him,
"This is Keiichi Morisato. Guardian Deity, First Class God, Unlimited
License." She paused a bit and then embraced Keiichi, "And my husband."
He smiled and took her hand as she hugged him from the back.
Carter: Okay, that's it! Where's that OMG fic that precedes this.
Brian: Umm...I lost it. Warhammer, could you send a copy befor I
get torn apart? <as the two pilots approach with mallets in hand>
"You!" Ringo said, pointing at Keiichi. He didn't seem surprised at
Ringo's accusation as he released himself from Belldandy's embrace.
"Yes. It was me who came to your residence all those years ago. I was
searching for my sister, Megumi." He said with an air of confidence and
yet held some guilt that said he was the reason she ran away. Yet, it
seemed to vanish as he said with a determined face, "But I'm so close to
getting her back now. I, just like you, want to know the complete truth.
So, I am asking you if you would like to join us in sneaking into Demon
Central, find her, and bring her back. "
Carter: Hmmm....Stepping into the mouth of hell, facing a million
or so demons, possibly facing the mother of all demons...
Natsume: And all for the love....
Brian: ...of a woman.
All three: He's gonna do it.
He stepped forward and said incredulously, "Do you need to ask? Of
course I'm going!"
All three: Toldja.
Belldandy turned to Scythe and Bo. "You two need not come, but if you
want to. You may, but it will not be easy."
Bo nodded enthusiastically. "Yeah, there's no one here to fight really,
so why not?"
Carter: <sarcastic> As if Ranma could stay out of a fight.
All eyes turned to Scythe as she deliberated. With arms akimbo and mind
deep in thought, she wondered if she should go or not. She then shrugged
and said, "I'm going."
Carter: <holding watch> That took long enough.
Natsume: Question: Would the fact that she's going mean the
emotional ice is breaking up?
Her response made Ringo blink, "Well, maybe it's a way of saying 'I'm
sorry for being a prick' Ringo. I'll help you get your girlfriend back."
Brian: Really hard to say.
Keiichi turned to Ringo in surprise, "Girlfriend?" He would have
continued, but Belldandy had the foresight to say that was just how Tina
viewed things.
All three: LOL
The next hour was spent clearing away the debris and rubble from the
immediate area to make a clearing for a specialized Holy Circle Gate .
That would enable them to sneak past the defenses of Demon Central and
let them sneak in.
Carter: Which of course means....
Natsume: ...they'll get jumped the second they warp in.
Skuld had placed special wards on the Teknos warriors, so that they
would not be so easily deterred like Ringo was with Lillith.
With the last of the markings in place, the Sisters of Fate, stood at
each an equal corner of the circle. Creating a triangle in the process.
After five minutes of their chanting, a light appeared from the center
and the gate activated.
When the flash that followed subsided, all seven occupants were gone.
End of chapter 4
[Warhammer comes out.]
WH: This has most likely the hardest chapter I ever wrote in this
story. The reason being I wondered if Ringo's feelings could truly
justify them being together. I can only hope that I did it right.
Next, you can receive extra brownie points for guessing which movie I
made a reference to in this chapter. It's one of my all time favorites.
But I will give you a hint, it has a similar premise as Oh My Goddess
and stars Gene Kelley.
Carter: "It's A Wonderful Life"?
All three: <facefault>
Next, the deal with Lillith. I am NOT going to use the Capcom's
Darkstalkers version of her, I am using an original legend of her. Of
which religious origin I am not sure of. The Mother of Demons that was
not pulled from Adam's rib. Or something like that. In other words, I
ain't using the squeaky voiced, underage, little slut that is the Capcom
version of Lillith. So there!
Carter: Oookkkaaayyy....he's got a thing against Darkstalkers.
Natsume: Either that or he needs to cut back on the caffiene
Thank goodness there's a little more backstory on the other OMG fic
that I never finished. But maybe, I just might finish it someday. If
that day ever comes that is.
Finally, will Ringo, his friends and the Norns get to Demon Central in
time to save Megumi? What does Lillith have in store for the younger
Morisato? Will it succeed? Tune in next week, same Tekno time, same
Tekno fanfic.
[Warhammer returns to the darkness.]
Carter: So, he working in the darkness again.
Brian: This does not bode well.
Natsume: True. No if you'll excuse me...<runs off>
Brian: Three guesses where she's going.
Carter: Don't even need them.
Brian: Could you try and stop her this time? I need both of you
intact for the next part.
Carter: Sure thing. <runs off>
Brian: Thanks Warhammer! Keep up the good work!
