Scrapped the Belldandy scene and wrote an entirely new one.
But it could still use some work.
She had almost joined with Raphael in his mad quest, rebelling
against the rules of Heaven, all for Keiichi. She'd actually,
for a brief moment, considered allowing a mortal to die, for Keiichi. <<
But she didn't. That she considered it is not adequate grounds for
recalling her.
There was a risk of their contract being voided, since the
Yggdrasil had been tampered with.
The system has been crashed before. They still let her stay with him.
Besides, was she involved?
Or worse, they might view Keiichi's involvement with her as a distraction
to her duty.
Her duty right now is to stay with him.
After all, he didn't wish for HER to stay with him... only a girl like
her.
Not that there are that many unattached candidates for the job. The
original wording in Japanese is rather suspect also.
Finally, is it your intention for Belldandy to go rouge? It sure seems that
way. This is the complete opposite from the previous version.
Look, just drop the recall ok?
WOULD PUTTING A HALT TO WAR END THE HATE IN THEIR HEARTS? WOULD
CLEANSING THE EARTH STOP THEIR MACHINES FROM POLLUTING? MY
CHILDREN WOULD NEVER LEARN IF I WERE TO CLEAN UP AFTER THEIR
EVERY MISTAKE. THEY MUST LIVE WITH THE CONSEQUENCES OF THEIR
ERRORS, AND HOPEFULLY LEARN.<<
An interesting statement, but seems rather irresponsible of the Lord. I'm
not argueing with you on this, but I feel that a God like this might as
well quit and be a monk.
No change needed here.
