For ten thousand years, I drifted, and dreamt of only you.

I thought about how brave you were when you suggested to go into
the "Eye of God" to save everyone else, or the look of understanding
on your face when you saw my soul.

But mostly, I worried that our meeting was only a dream. That
_you_ were only a dream.

What if I'm still at the Forbidden Island, waiting to someone's
puppet?

Will I kill everyone else and end up alone? Or will I be cast
aside when I'm no longer of any use?

I was nothing until I met you. Don't you see?

There are so many things I want to tell you, so many memories we
have yet to share. I need you, so much. It hurts to even think about
living without you.

The only thing that keeps me sane these days is the possibility
that I'll see you again. Knowing that I'll be able to touch you and
to hold you close.

But even that hope is cruel, for I can only see you for a moment
before you vanish again.

I open my eyes as the bright light around me dissipate like
dandelions on a windy day. Multicolored spots dance in front of my
eyes before they focus on the dark shape ahead of me.

     It's you.

I feel a warm liquid flowing down my face as I stare at your
face.

     Am I crying? I... I don't understand.

     I'm happy.

I remember doing the same when I looked into your memories. I
hadn't understood it then either.

Am I crying because it's my destiny, or is it because I know how
this would end. I'm sending you to another dimention with a chance
that I'll never see you again.

I reach out for you, almost afraid that you'd leave me before I
can tell you all I want to say.

     "Makoto..."
